As the title says really- we all panic and worry so much throughout our pregnancies that I thought it would be nice for us to think about what we love about it!

For me, its knowing we are going to have a little baby soon- something we have wanted for ages.
Also love having my bump- I was alway squeamish about bumps before hand, but now if I could have one forever I would!
Ohhh- also love it when baby kicks- it makes me happy and really reassures me, even if sometimes it feels like they are doing the rumba on my bladder!!

What do you girls like best?

Seeing those 2 blue lines.

And hearing dh say "its a boy" or "its a girl".

The bit in between, I could do without.

Quite like having an excuse not to do things. "Oh dh, you change the nappy / empty the bin / cook the dinner / make me some tea, oh I'm so tired, oh my back ..."

delivery!
I'm not a happy pregnant lady.

Thank you for a lovely thread, I really needed to remind my self of the Nice bit's about pregnancy. 36+4 today and VERY ready for baby in arms.

I love feeling those first kicks up to about 32 weeks is lovely after that it just hurts.
Everyone cooing over you.
Ohhhh the excitement about the end and the is it a boy? is it a girl? debate.
My 2 dc's Loving, kissing, cuddling my bump and being very excited about a new brother or sister, my 4.5yr old is beside himself with excitement at the moment.
The ultimate thing for me, by wich time not pregnant anymore obviously but bringing your new bundle home to meet the world.

eating.

Everyone assuming you're a lovely person just because you're going to have a baby (which of course I am )

Myfairone · 24/04/2007 15:23

The word NORMAL!

Never realised what a wonderful word that was until now!

  • Hearing it at the first scan - the most beautiful word in the world!
  • Getting worried about a niggly feeling and hearing 'it's normal'!
  • Second scan - all normal (there's that word again!!!!)

Hoping to continue hearing it over and over until LO is with me in my arms and hearing it again that 'all is normal'!

BLISS!

This thread is great - especially today as Ive just come back from my lunchtime waddle and had lots of complete strangers smile at me and I thought the world was a wonderful sunny place and everyone loves a heavily pregnant woman and I will miss the attention when baby comes and oooh I look alright in this vest top, my bump looks lovely and then when I got back to office someone pointed out I had chocolate all over my face from the Magnum Id just devoured.

didibops · 24/04/2007 15:32

When you relax in the bath and baby kicks like crazy, precious moments when you really feel like you're bonding with the tiny person inside you, I'll never forget those moments

The ONLY nice thing about being pregnant is having fuller lips (the ones up top, not the ones down there!)

Nbg · 24/04/2007 15:37

The very end.

Nettee · 24/04/2007 16:15

Having a bump and being pampered

feeling baby move and wondering what he or she will be like

Planning the birth and looking forward to meeting baby

I love it

especially after the first trimester - I think the nearer my due date I got the more comfortable I was last time round

JARM · 24/04/2007 16:19

The birth!

I hate being pregnant (3rd time now) and would much rather be told I have to labour for 24 hours rather than suffer 9 months of hell!

I find labour quite easy though luckily.

protean · 24/04/2007 19:19

The excitement!

Look on dh's face during scan when he saw the baby for the first time - so happy.
