(Ftm)
I'm currently 37+4 and seen my midwife yesterday who told me I was almost engaged that my baby was sitting at the brim of my pelvis.
I bought a birthing ball lastnight and went on to use it however it's started to cause a lot of pain in my lower back and bottom of my stomach,
currently feeling a lot of pressure down there also? Just looking for advice if people have also experienced this

It's possible your core is just really weak if you are only just starting to use it now. If you tend to slouch or aren't used to sitting unsupported, yes, it can cause pain and soreness in your tummy and back. It's likely just muscle soreness from using muscles you aren't used to using. Make sure though that it is properly inflated and that it fits your height. You should be sitting so your pelvis is just slightly higher than your knees with hips open and knees apart, not slouching.

I sit on mine at my desk, 8 hours a day, plus also in the evenings when I'm not working, so I'm probably on it 12 hours a day. I find it's one of the few things that keeps me from not feeling pain! But I've done that since probably 26 weeks.

It's also possible that spending some time on it has meant baby is now fully engaged, which can cause some discomfort in your back and pelvis.
