Slipped on ice

I slipped on ice this morning and really crashed to the pavement, luckily I managed to land on my side but I'm still in really bad pain.

I phoned up the hospital and they asked me to go in and they checked the baby's heartbeat which was fine. I was given some painkillers and told to come back if there was any bleeding or reduced movements.

I'm just worried as it was such a thump and I'm a worrier anyway. Has anyone got any reassurances they can offer?

Baby is fine I'm sure. Remember they are cushioned well in there with all the fluid plus womb and then you all around them.

Take care of yourself though!

You have done the best thing, now you need the painkillers to kick in and enjoy those baby movements!

you've been checked over, everything's fine, unless the pain gets a lot worse I wouldn't worry. I remember being in a massive panic when I fell off my bike when pregnant😫 so know what it's like!

Thanks for the reassurance! It's such a shock slipping over, haven't ever done it sober before Grin

You've been to hospital and had baby checked. There's nothing more they can do to reassure you. Take it easy, feet up and watch for any changes.

I did exactly the same thing when I was 36 weeks.

I had to go in to because she started to move a lot. She was fine and born 2 weeks later, she's nearly 14 now.
