Has sex on the 13th, took a Sainsbury’s test and it came back a faint positive, don’t know whether to trust it or not, what do people think, really worried :(

A faint positive is a positive IMO, the line being faint just means it's early on in pregnancy (which ties up with your dates).

Can you post your pic?

Skye123 · 27/12/2017 09:22

How do I add a photo?

If it's anyway ositive then you are pregnant.

ItsChristmoose · 27/12/2017 09:37

Is that good news?

PotteringAlong · 27/12/2017 09:40

Worried that you are pregnant?

elfieonshelfie · 27/12/2017 09:45

What are you worried about OP?

ClareB83 · 27/12/2017 09:49

False positives are very rare. So any positive, however faint, is positive.

Skye123 · 27/12/2017 09:56

No, not good news, I’m epileptic so it causes so many issues for me, I don’t know how long I should wait to take a 3rd test to be sure, maybe buy a better test cause Sainsbury’s £3.99 don’t know if it’s trustworthy.
If I am pregnant I’m scared of what I’m going to have to do cause I can’t keep it.

If you're sure you can't keep it at least you have found out early as the procedure to abort won't be as intense as it is if you find out later. Although of course you will still need to deal with the emotions. I think it's very likely you are pregnant with two positives, even from a cheap test, so maybe time to contact your GP to discuss your options. I think counselling is provided before any abortion. Perhaps other posters can provide more info.

You can get false positives as the dye can run in the tests, I have one a few months ago .

See if you can get on to this. A blood test is the most reliable way to tell though x

I think OP you need to make an appointment asap with your doctor to discuss the implications of your condition. If you are not going to continue this pregnancy then the sooner you start that process the better but make sure you've spoken with an expert about it before making any final decisions. You don't need to feel bad about any decision you do make. It's ok to decide not to continue a pregnancy for whatever reason. And many many people do make that decision every day.

BertieBotts · 27/12/2017 16:25

Go and see your GP ASAP or a family planning clinic or contact BPAS. All of them can give you the full information relating to your condition and pregnancy plus any options you may have.

Those tests are reliable enough - I wouldn't bother doing a third but you can for peace of mind if you want to.

Good luck with whatever you decide.
