I'm 38 weeks and need some nursing bras. I'm a 34 f normally. There's a lot of choice. I'd rather buy online as not got any energy to go out! Would like some recommendations please...

I bought H&M ones for dd1 but didn’t end up breastfeeding in the end so didn’t have to actually use them. Saw this hack the other day to turn primark vest tops into nursing tops that I thought was quite handy though x

Nursing bras make me so sad! I cried looking for some a few months back because they were all so ugly. I found a company ‘hotmilk’ through recommendation. I saw them at the baby show and got a quick measure up by them and came up the size I thought I was (one back and cup size up from Normal 38F) I got three bras for £70 and they are fab. Been wearing them since 30weeka, comfortable, flattering and look good.
I believe they have up to 60% off site wide at the moment. I’ll link the style I have

I went up to a FF assuming my boobs would grow from 28weeks which they have but still room for more growth. Really recommend them. This style is £25 right now from £35

ellesbellesxxx · 27/12/2017 07:25

Mothercare had some nice ones

Mummyme87 · 27/12/2017 07:25

And they recommend 3 bras.. one to wear, one in the wash and one in the drawer ready to wash

Mummyme87 · 27/12/2017 07:26

Ready to wear sorry

I bought stretchy ones from jojo - you buy your band size and then the cups stretch (B-F is the one I have). They also have the clips so you can nurse easily. They are useful while your boobs adjust to the correct supply. I can't seem to link on the app but if you go to the Jojo Maman Bebe website, they are called Emma Jane seam free maternity & nursing bra and are £13.

Oh I've just seen you are an F! Sorry, not sure if they will be that good when your milk comes in but you may be able to find similar that goes to a bigger cup size.

Mummyme87 · 27/12/2017 07:53

I find as a bigger cup size the range of cup sizes just don’t quite cut it

There’s a site called nirsingbra-shop.co.uk, who have a huge choice (I am not affiliated to them, I promise - they’re just the only people who stock my favourite). The bravado ones are good, the ‘bliss’ is my absolute favourite - it resembles an actual bra, and provides good shape (and is non-wired). Their body silk one is also a good sleep bra.

Mothercare and M&S ones are depressing, hot milk are ok. I’ve heard good things about Cake too. ASOS stock a few too.

bookgirl1982 · 27/12/2017 08:11

Bravado from John Lewis or Amazon!

Callamia · 27/12/2017 08:12

*nursingbra-shop obviously - stupid fingers.

After a lot of trial and error I found a Debenhams one that was fantastic. Really comfy and gave a decent shape for a non-wired nursing bra. I'm a similar size to you and always wear a slightly padded cup style. It was called 'comfort nursing bra'. I can't see it online any more but this looks similar http://www.debenhams.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/prod1070110001152010748680-1

Bravissimo will do you a free fitting, and then you can order online if you want to look for bargains. Only get a few before the birth until you see just how big your boobs get.

annlee3817 · 27/12/2017 13:51

I bought the hotmilk ones in the figleaves sale, I got two for 12 pounds each and they were really pretty

snowscreamer · 27/12/2017 20:56

Panache Sophie is my recommendation for a structured nursing bra. Very comfy and supportive provided you measure correctly and buy the correct size. Boobs will be all over the place for first 8 weeks or so, so I would measure at that point and wear something stretchy until then. My favourite stretchy nursing bra is Royce Blossom. Comes up tight in the back so band up one. Can measure at home and input numbers into www.booborbust.com for correct sizing or visit Bravissimo (they sell Panache Sophie but not Royce Blossom).
M&S and Mothercare both hopeless at fitting! They don’t stock much above D cup so if you are larger at all they’ll just add inches around the band to try to shoehorn you into a size that they stock and you’ll end up with no support at all. Even if you’re smaller they seem to add 4-5 inches to the band size as a general rule.

Hi
I'm normally a 32E, at 25 weeks I am now a 34G 😱 so have done a lot of googling- currently still wearing underwire Freya bra same style as usual. They also do a nursing bra so will be looking into that myself (nearer the time so have more idea what size to get)-again it's underwired. I do have a nursing one already from Debenhams which should be fine but just doesn't seem to support as well as underwire one
Debenhams had the most options that I've found for non wired nursing bras
Good luck
