Early pregnancy scan

Hi everyone. I found out a week and a half ago that I'm pregnant. I'm a bit nervous about what I should do. In the summer I had a miscarriage and had to have a laparoscopy before it was confirmed miscarriage as they thought it may be ectopic which it wasn't. I was told the next time I got pregnant that I would be able to have a scan with the EPU again and they would be able to monitor my bloods like previously. However this pregnancy I've felt far more symptoms than I did before (not sure that means anything) and it feels different in a positive way. I'm nervous that if I get an appointment I'll be more paranoid than what I am. Previously I had to go in every 2 days for bloods as they weren't doubling etc. I haven't told any family or friends yet so can't talk to anyone for advice other than my partner who doesn't feel like I should go to EPU. I'm not even sure this post makes sense!! Sorry.
Also I took a clear blue digital on Friday it said 2-3 weeks so does that make me around 4-5 weeks? My periods aren't regular and since my miscarriage I've had one which started 29th Oct.

Ring up the EPU. If they said they’d see you next time, I don’t see why they wouldn’t.

I'd get monitored in your situation I think op. My last pregnancy didn't work out and this one is looking dodgy too, but they have totally different symptoms. So I wouldn't necessarily base a decision on how youre feeling iyswim. If you think you'd like the reassurance, go.

If you arnt sure if you need a scan then ask your gp or midwife and they can then arrange it for you too.
Or you can go private- i had mine at 5 weeks today as I was worried about another ectopic and if the nhs would scan early enough. They do early scans up to 14 weeks just for reassurance or to rule out complications.

Hey OP-I wouldn't bother with a scan until at least 6-7 weeks personally-you won't pick up much before then. I know it's scary but please have faith in your body.

If they won't scan you in the NHS (which they don't usually unless you have had x3+ miscarriages) you can get one through a company called Babybond or another private scanner?

You don't get treatment on the NHS without good reason so if you're being offered early monitoring you can assume that you need it.
