Something happening or is this just how it feels towards the end?

I'm 37+1 today.

All yesterday I felt uncomfortable and off colour, bit nauseas too but not off my food (the opposite!) a lot of pressure in my uterus and sometimes I also got shooting pains that stopped me in my tracks. I went on a long dog walk and half way round I was regretting it due to the pressure sensation and braxton hicks. It continued til bed time then I got a pretty normal, fairly restful sleep.

I've had lots of discharge this morning and the same pressure but no shooting pains thankfully. Bit of back ache but I think thats more due to sleeping position.

Is this a sign that things are moving along, or is it just generally how you feel towards the end?

Sorry I've only just seen the updates on this thread.

In the early hours of Boxing Day morning my waters broke! I went into MAU who confirmed this and was sent home to see if it progressed into natural labour. By the following evening it hadn't.

I was induced in the early hours of 27 Dec and baby arrived shortly after 10am (at 38 +5)! We were in hospital for four nights and have been settling now into a routine at home.

Good luck for when the big day arrives and you meet your little one!

@Winenight congratulations! Can I ask, did you definitely know that your waters had gone? I'm almost 39 weeks and keep feeling a little damp down there but not a lot of liquid

Winenight · 02/01/2018 22:52

They properly went! I was soaking through maternity pads and it was just gushing everywhere. I had to run into the MAU and strip off my leggings in the toilet to stop them getting soaked through!

I'd had a bit of watery discharge a few days earlier so it might be a sign of things to come for you. Exciting!

thingymaboob · 02/01/2018 22:55

@Winenight yeah I thought I'd ask as I know you thought they had gone before Christmas.
It sounds like when they properly went it was different yo that episode before Christmas. I'm a nervous wreck!

Winenight · 03/01/2018 03:05

I know, I was on edge all over Christmas!

It is totally nerve wracking but once your little one is here you won’t even think about it.

Good luck and let me know when LO arrives!

Oh congrats @winenight ! how lovely for you.

I've been having constant on/off aches pains and shooty feelings since I made this thread. Bouts of bad tummy aches and then pressure and period type pain. Nothings come of it yet!

Congratulations winenight!!

Still waiting here as well... have been told will be induced next week due to medical concerns if baby doesn't come naturally before then.

Hello all, only just seen your messages, blame the newborn :-). Do you have any updates on the little ones arriving?
