Experiencing pain... late pregnancy

I'm 38weeks +3days and have been experiencing pain in my left side all night.

I had midwife yesterday and she said baby was probably about half way down and if she was a betting women she'd say that an early arrival is likely.

As I went to bed last night I noticed a pain in my left side but put it down to the babies position but it's kept me up half the night and now I'm getting a bit worried.

The pain isn't constant but I feel it every time I move. I've tried moving from bed to the sofa to see if that helps and also been to the toilet but nothing is easing it.

Baby has been moving around as normal.

Part of me thinks it's just part of the road to the end but the other part of me is worried that it's not easing.

Does anyone have any thoughts?

How intense is the pain on a scale of 1-10? The info from the maternity department at my hospital says to go there if you get bad abdominal pain (by which I assume would be a 6 or more on that scale) that won't go away.

I'd probably say it's only about a 4-5. I'm really leaning towards it being babies positioning but there is just a niggling doubt I'm doing the wrong thing.

Hopefully a warm bubble bath will help

Call a midwife or triage for reassurance. I felt slightly dizzy one morning and turned out my blood pressure was ridiculous and dangerous.
Don't take chances if you are worried get on the phone and get it checked out

Yeah try a warm bath, if that doesn't help then give triage a call as you don't want to be worrying over Christmas, you wouldn't be able to enjoy yourself if there's a niggling doubt at the back of your mind.

It could be baby pushing into your ribs but I would call if your concerned

Could be any number of things but PLEASE call your local labour line, triage line or whatever you have.

When I was pregnant one of my twins stopped moving and I had no idea. The only clue was that I just felt... ill. Weird. Not right. Like my head was giant. I really can't explain it but I felt something was wrong and I couldn't put my finger on it. I really didn't want to be any bother and felt ridiculous going in and saying I didn't feel well. If it weren't for my brilliant midwife who booked me in for a check up within a couple of hours, one or both of them wouldn't be here now.

I'm not saying there's something really wrong but in my experience they want you to call them and get checked out if anything seems wrong. You've had the pain a while now, abdo pain can be a symptom of preeclampsia and other things, or nothing at all. Don't take any risks x
