Subchorionic haematoma - any advice?

I had a big bleed exactly two weeks ago, at 12+4. A few days later at a scan we learned that I have a subchorionic haematoma measuring 50mm x 35mm x 29cm. The doctor at the time said that the placenta looked well attached, so I was sent on my way to continue as normal. He did warn me that I might continue to bleed (old blood) for a couple of weeks.

So now it’s about a week and a half later and, like he said, I am bleeding brown (sometimes light pink) blood. Some days hardly any, some days slightly more. The bleeding doesn’t seem to be related to how active I am during the day.

But I’m over 14 weeks now and this bleeding is getting me down. I’m also concerned that the haematoma is actually quite large in comparison to my gestational sac.

We’re going away for a week to stay with family for Christmas, so I’m unable to be checked/scanned in that time.

Do you think it’s worth calling my mfau for advice?

I had a few SCH. The bleeds(gushing/clots/the lot!) happened from 7-19 weeks. I was terrified to move! In the end I ‘got used to them’(I didn’t, of course!) and when it happened, unless it lasted a long time or I had pain(I never did) I just sort of got on with it. I don’t recommend this, but I had a Doppler that I used after big bleeds. That tended to reassure me. But if you’re worried, always ask a pro. My SCH baby(he’s 3 now) is sitting next to me now having a snooze. Good luck with the rest of your pregnancy
