I’m assuming nothing?

Ate some bruschetta and it was a chef speciality so when I said mm that was lovely and asked what was in it I got told olive pate.

I know I sound stupid for not realising but with it being bruschetta I just assumed it was chopped up olives prepared fresh.

I didn’t ask anything else at the time but now thinking about the risk of listeria and how was it made, what was in it, when was it made how was it stored...driving myself bananas!

Please can anyone give any advice? I know nhs says no to all pate so not sure what to do now?

Don't worry. Pate was not even banned in Sweden when I had my pregnancies - as long as you eat in moderate quantities (no big slabs) and commercially produced. We were served thinly sliced pate on toast at the midwife classes in solidarity for the woman with gestational diabetes (no cinnamon buns for us!)

Step away from Dr Google.

It never brings good news.

I ate liver pate several times in one week before I found out I was pregnant and so far everything is fine with my baby.
