Snuzpod vs chicco

Hello,

Does anyway have one of these?

I like the look of the snuzpod more, but worried it looks abit narrow compared with the chicco,

It says lasts upto 6 months and has good reviews so can't be that small,

Any advice ?

Thanks 🤗🤰🏻

Bumping for you OP as I am also confused between these two as well as the tutti bambini!

tootfox · 10/12/2017 19:21

Thanks!

I've just found a similar post, about co sleeping,

And they said good things about the snuzpod xx

I had the Chico, it was amazing, but now I have the side down on a cot bed and just against my bed, I'll just do that next time I think.

ToddlersAndCoffee · 10/12/2017 19:35

We had a chicco with dc2 and it was amazing. Dc2 slept amazingly since birth and was sleeping through from only a few weeks old (dc1 was up 3-4+ times a night untill one and never had a cosleeper) he moved out at 6 months into his own room but there really was no room left in the cot anyway... he wasn't a very tall baby at all either! I'd highly recommend one and will be uesing one again!

DaisyLand · 10/12/2017 19:39

I’m between the snuzpod and the tutti and I think I’m gonna get the latest one. Snuzpod: double the size and also despite it says you can move the cot around i have read it’s too heavy so people don’t normally use it.

What pros have you read about it op?

MissBax · 10/12/2017 19:44

I've got the snuzpod and love it :) it's definitely wide enough for DD (4 months), and still got about 8 inches length on it, although when she starts rolling over it might seem abit narrow. I wouldn't have even thought about it if you hadn't mentioned it. I'd recommend it personally, however I got mine second hand so not as much invested in it

pastabest · 10/12/2017 19:45

Whichever you choose make sure it fits to your bed! We didn’t get either as our divan bed + mattress was too high.

Instead we used an ordinary cot bed with one side taken off and raised the mattress to the right height.

tootfox · 10/12/2017 19:47

I didn't know the tutti existed till a few minutes ago! Looks lovely!! And it's got the tilt incase of reflux, it it can attach to a devan bed then I think I'd get that! Need to research into them all more!

I saw snuzpod had won some awards and can be taken off and used in a different room , but seeing the tutti, I was like ooh 🤗 xx

I had a snuzpod for DD and hated it. DD is an awfully fidgety sleeper and because it has a wooden frame it would constantly squeak. It drove me crazy.

I have sold it and will be buying a Chicco next2me for Ds due early April.

daydream86 · 10/12/2017 19:56

had a snub pod, it’s a lovely looking thing and nice design but DD hated it and used to fling her arms out and scratch the canvas sides with her nails and wake herself. I think the mattress was hard and uncomfortable too. it’s quite heavy as a carry cot thing so we did try taking it downstairs but no was could you carry it upstairs with a sleeping baby in. wish I’d
just got a moses basket on a rocking stand and coslept with a sleepyhead tbh

boatrace30 · 10/12/2017 20:01

I have the Chicco and it's great. A real bonus is how easily transportable it is if you are away at all. I couldn't fault it and have never heard a bad word about it from anyone that's used it

dinosaurkisses · 10/12/2017 20:18

We got the Tutti Bambini for DD- she's nine weeks now. I love it!

I picked it over the Chicco as they seemed to do much the same thing at the same price, but the Tutti was much nicer looking. It's super easy to pack away as the legs fold up underneath it and comes with a travel bag as well. DD is a great sleeper- not sure how much this is to do with the cot, but it certainly hasn't done any harm!

She still has loads of room left in it- we'll definitely be using it for the full six months. Would definitely recommend.

thepatchworkcat · 10/12/2017 20:22

I haven’t used them but have also been looking and am leaning towards the Chicco due to the fact you can travel with it and use it elsewhere. The Snüzpod looks lovely but I think the Chicco might just edge it for me in practical terms.

With DS1 we had a Moses basket that he hated, a few weeks of precarious cosleeping and then into the cot at 9 weeks. We used the pram for ‘naps’ (not that he napped). I definitely want to try a next to the bed thing for DC2.

tootfox · 10/12/2017 20:40

@dinosaurkisses can the tutti beised for divan beds xx

Tfoot75 · 10/12/2017 20:47

We had the next2me for dc2. She slept in it overnight until about 8 months when it became dangerous as she could pull up on the sides. I seem to remember it is 90cm long, so no way would a 6 month old fill it up - she’d still technically fit in it now at 20 months though literally nearly fill it. It was great - light weight, fit up against our very high divan and she slept in it from about 3 days old (as soon as we could put her down!)

AvocadoLovingMamaOfOne · 10/12/2017 20:53

We’ve only recently stopped using our next2me as DS was trying to climb out of it, so we got up to 8months out of it. Would definitely recommend.

dinosaurkisses · 10/12/2017 21:01

@Tfoot75 I think so- I never got round to attaching it to the side of the bed properly, I just keep the side up as you can see baby through the mesh anyway

BridgetJonesDaiquiri · 10/12/2017 21:12

We used the Snuzpod for 7 months with our DD, who has just moved out of it into her own room. It was absolutely brilliant, looked stylish strapped to our bed and was practical. Also to say that our DD slept in a sleepyhead deluxe inside the Snuzpod from birth - it was snugger than it would have been in the Chicco but fitted fine. Good luck with whichever you choose!

AccrualIntentions · 11/12/2017 01:01

We have a Snuzpod because the next 2 me wouldn't fit in the room. It's mostly been used as an expensive side table at the moment as 4 week old DD won't sleep anywhere apart from on my chest. Going to try a sleepyhead with it since we're already breaking all the safe sleep guidelines Blush
