IVF - no foetal pole on Scan

I'm going someone out there can tell me there is still a chance...
I am 6w4d today (and I know exactly as we had IVF), but Scan today showed a gestational sac and yolk sac but no foetal pole or heartbeat. Measuring slightly small too.
Is there any hope? I have another scan on Monday. I'm currently devastated as they told me 'we'd expect to see more development at this stage'. Sad thanks x

How are you Hobbes?

Hobbes39 · 06/12/2017 12:10

Hi @Flameredbus - I'm ok - feeling morning sickness still which feels so unfair, but have no signs of my body actually realising it's over yet.
How was your op? Are you ok? Hope it went as well as it could do x

Hi @Hobbes - sorry to hear your news. I had a MMC at Christmas time a couple of years ago and opted for the medically managed drug route - I really wish I hadn't. It wasn't a good experience and I ended up having to have an ERPC anyway. The ERPC in comparison was absolutely fine and just left me with the emotional side of things to deal with. x

Just to say, I've started to miscarry naturally today - stuck in the toilet at the moment - feels so sad, but at least it will hopefully mean that will be over by xmas and can move on Sad. X

Really sorry to hear this Flowers how are you?

bronwensia · 17/12/2017 11:31

Hey! So sorry to hear about this. Well dear according to my knowledge, At the point when specialists speculate wrong gestational age in a lady who was accepted to associate with a month and a half pregnant yet has no yolk sac, they will normally prescribe a rehash ultrasound in one to two weeks. In a suitable pregnancy, the yolk sac and potentially the fetal post will be unmistakable on a subsequent ultrasound. Please stay strong.

bronwensia · 18/12/2017 04:43

Dear! The good thing is IVF worked on you. It means you are not having other serious issues and that means you can conceive again. So, don’t lose hope and have your scan may be we all proves wrong. So, just no need to worry and make yourself comfortable. Your condition is not that much worst.

Hi All
Ivf baby and I’m 6w+4d today and little fetal pole seen and no heart beat.
Doctor said get ready for a miscarriage doesn’t look good.
My last scan at 7w exactly if no heart beat still then will be sent to EPU for procedure. I’m hoping for a miracle. Any success story??
