Hi All!
Currently 8 weeks and wondering at what point did you all start to show?
I'm feeling like my ever so loved skinny jeans will soon need a much more comfortable waist band haha! I feel so bloated all the time but when will this bloat turn to bump?
TIA Flowers

I had a bump at my 12 week scan (twins)

EastDulwichWife · 29/11/2017 13:48

I was bloated at 8 weeks and found my regular jeans really uncomfortable, even though they still fitted. I'm 14 weeks now and have just bought some over-the-bump jeans today. Oh my life they are heavenly - I don't want to take them off! Definitely showing now.

Girlwiththearabstrap · 29/11/2017 15:15

Well after 20 weeks with my first. Maybe 24-25? I'm almost 18 weeks with my second and starting to look a bit podgy now. I'm wearing a lot of leggings and loose tops and tunics to try and hide it a bit.

Hairgician · 29/11/2017 15:45

Fuck I've had a bump since 12-13 weeks. I'm now just over 17weeks and proper bump now. Am going to be fucking huge at this rateEnvy

scoutcat · 29/11/2017 16:02

I had a noticeable bump at 12 weeks! Now I'm 14 weeks and it's out and proud!

bathandpjs · 29/11/2017 16:22

I'm a 16 with a tummy, I'm not expecting to show until 6 months 😂

I've been putting weight on and already people are looking quizzically at my belly. I'm only 7wBlush

Lilleahw · 29/11/2017 18:11

Lol with my first I didn't show until about 26weeks. I'm sitting here 10weeks today with my second in maternity leggings. I keep telling myself it's bloating... But not so sure 😂

Jodie567 · 29/11/2017 18:15

My bump never did appear... Try not to focus too much on your bump showing as I was so disappointed that mine didn't appear.
Such a lovelystage enjoy every moment.

sausagerollsrock · 29/11/2017 18:22

I'm just 14 weeks with first and over the weekend I sprouted. Have ordered some maternity jeans. Still in my work trousers quite comfortably though. I've actually lost weight so far and I'm feeling like I've got the best figure I've ever had. I always thought I'd be a big blob when I got pregnant.

LMX0 · 29/11/2017 19:05

There is a thing u can buy called a bella band you can wear your jeans/trousers have them unbuttoned and the band goes over the top to hide and hold up your trousers wear your top over the top of it if that makes any sense

Winifredgoose10 · 29/11/2017 19:18

I'm 14 weeks with my third, and to me have a very definite bump, despite only having put on two pounds. There is no way i could wear my normal trousers. My husband says if he didn't know, he may wonder, but certainly wouldn't offer me a seat on the tube etc in case wrong. I know it was much later with my first, and i can't remember with my second.

dkb15164 · 29/11/2017 19:24

I'm 21 weeks currently and been showing bump for only the past week or 2 (but could easily be mistaken for gaining a bit of weight in a weird way). I didn't find out I was pregnant till 11 weeks however I noticed I had gone up a size in jeans at week 6 - I had simply put this down to eating too glutinously on holiday and joined a gym. Maternity dungarees and jeans still felt a bit big on me till 16/17 weeks so I recommend just buying cheap primark jeans/leggings in a bigger size at the moment if you feel you need it as it worked fine for me.

Babybear1117 · 30/11/2017 07:45

Thankyou all for suggestions I might do as you say and opt for some cheapish leggings or jeans for now until I need something more substantial. Smile

I would hold off on the maternity stuff as long as you can because I'm now finding my smaller wardrobe really really boring!

I found early on lots of bag dresses and leggings worked well, though obviously now you'll want boots on to keep the cold out!

24 weeks here, sometimes I think blimey, I've got a bump. Other times I think I'm pregnant outwards and jut fat from too many cakes (also true).

LMX0 · 30/11/2017 10:03

@SundayLunchHappy i agree boots are deffo needed its very cold!! Im thinking this time of year would be harder to find things to wear as its cold there fore thicker clothes are needed which of course are more restrictive

Girlwiththearabstrap · 30/11/2017 10:21

Ah now I think this time of year is easier than summer! Leggings/jeggings, plenty of layers and a long cardigan. If you're bothered about hiding it that is. I work in a school so trying to keep it under wraps (literally) till I've had my 20 week scan.

LMX0 · 30/11/2017 15:22

Well yes for hiding it yes it would be easier i think im going to find it hard as im a 'plus size' gal

user1470147116 · 30/11/2017 16:12

I had a slight bump that my friends noticed at 9 weeks.

Currently 14 weeks and look very pregnant.

AyeWhySwim · 30/11/2017 20:40

I'm 13 weeks with no.3 and feel massive. I feel really embarrassed about it and not sure if it just looks like mega fat or pregnant. And also feel like I shouldn't have such a big tum at this point. Most people seem to say they don't look/feel pregnant at this stage.

LMX0 · 30/11/2017 21:04

@AyeWhySwim awk everyone ones bodies are so different thats what makes everything so exciting and interesting (and also scary) lol

AyeWhySwim · 30/11/2017 21:16

Thanks @LMX0 I see you saying about being plus size - me too - that's why I feel like the extra indeterminate stomach baggage isn't really a good thing!!!

LMX0 · 30/11/2017 23:02

Yeah i worry (well not worry more think) that cause im bigger i wont gave a bump ill just look even more fat but everyones bodies are different and you never know we could end up with huge bumps lol

AyeWhySwim · 30/11/2017 23:05

Haha yeah same @LMX0 - I seem to be growing outwards on the front and on the bum as well. It's a good look! Grin

disneydatknee · 01/12/2017 00:02

Not until about 16 weeks with my first but with 2nd I started to look really bloated by 8 weeks and nothing fitted around my waist. It felt weird buying maternity clothes so early on but I just wasn’t comfortable in normal clothes.

pickle162 · 01/12/2017 06:41

Pregnant with first baby here and started showing at 5 weeks, by 13weeks completely not able to hide at all. I'm now 21.5weeks and large baby bump (but only bump) & boobs gone up 3cups sizes so everyone's different. My pregnancy app said for this week you should start showing now..... I was like 😂 soooooo obviously preg but people are often shocked at how far along I am (yes def only having one and she is average size 😊)
Try and stick with normal clothes for as long as possible tho as so little maternity stuff out there that isn't navy striped -it's soooo boring. Tops I've just been able to get some mat stuff and some just longer/bigger normal clothes. Trousers I got off eBay (couldn't bear spending £40 on something I wouldn't be wearing for long...)but only recently have needed to move to them from one of my lower cut bigger jeans. Tops however were getting indecently short
