BFP after IVF and waiting for first scan - anyone else?

I'm 5+1 today and still can't believe we got our BFP last week. However I'm driving myself mad with waiting for that first scan. After 3+ yrs of TTC I'm so frightened of it not actually working. The only (v faint) symptoms I've had so far are mild lower back pain and the occasional sore boob (but I'm convinced they are just bruised from me checking them every 20 seconds)... Anyone else waiting for their first scan after a very long journey of getting to this stage?

Think I'll just be stressing my way through Christmas as and when I'm not at work that is. When I'm at work I'll be dealing with that stress. Yet another appt that I'll have to try to hide from work. 😳

@willma86 I've been struggling to juggle work and appointments. Also long shifts are not easy when all I want to do is sleep! X

Doing ok thanks - one week to go until scan. Still no symptoms of note but trying to relax about that and just hope that’s normal for me. (Easier said than done).

I'm ok just having the wait drive me mad. I'm peeing more than ever. Cramps have eased up a lot. Just want the next couple of weeks to hurry up so I know one way or the other if things are ok. X

Scan is tomorrow! The wait hasn’t been so bad in the end, but I’m anxious to know if everything is OK.

I feel absolutely horrendous - nausea and exhaustion, so something is def happening. Cramps are a bit better and less frequent. Fingers crossed. I feel really bad complaining about feeling ill after everything we've been through to get to this point. Just feel rough.

Thank you E2017. It was quite shocking news in that there were two heartbeats and one gestational sac meaning identical twins!

So we are booked in for yet another scan next week to make sure everything is ok as couldn’t see both all that clearly. I am freaking out!!

Thank you! Fingers crossed it works out. Next scan now booked for 27th. Shame to not know before Christmas that things are looking ok as they couldn’t really confirm today. But not too long away I suppose and Christmas is a distraction. Would be so amazing if it worked out! (If a bit terrifying!)

Progesterone nausea has gone, getting odd stomach cramps. Still got sore boobs and permanently tired. Oh and I now have have an aversion to the sight/ smell/ taste of bacon. Other than that I currently seem no different to before ivf lol.

This wait till 7 week scan is driving me round the bend though. Time is going so slowly. Scan isn't until 27th.

A bacon aversion is random! I have really gone off tea and coffee. Glad the nausea has gone. It’s not fun! Mine is a bit better today which might be the sickness bands I am trying. 27th does seem ages away. Hope time goes quickly for you.

Doing ok thanks. Not many symptoms. V tired and really hungry first thing in the morning but otherwise not much to report.
My scan had been moved forward to Monday when i’ll be 8 weeks so just the weekend to wait now!

Just had my 8 wk scan and all looking good!! Barely any symptoms so it was a massive relief to see the heartbeat. Going to try and really relax and enjoy it now.

Congratulations- good news! Hope you can relax and enjoy Christmas now. And make the most of feeling good!
