VBAC large baby

Hi all,
I'm debating if I should have a VBAC this time round (pregnancy number 3)
First was an emergency c-section due to breach presentation, discovered when I was 9cm dilated. She weighted 6lbs 2oz.
Second was a planned c-section but she was big 10 lbs 4oz.
Im currently 26 weeks so still have a little time to decide, partner wants me to make the decision as it's my body but he will support me whatever I choose. I'm torn, I've never given birth naturally, I don't know what it's like, and I'm carrying big again, consultant thinks this baby will most likely be big again. Need advice as everything on Google is scary lol.
TIA

In my experience, I have planned and planned births and not one has gone to plan! My first was vaginal, followed by two ELCS for breech and I'm about to have another for the same reason - after each ELCS I have wanted a VBAC and have over thought every scenario and worried about what I was going to do - in the end the decision has been pretty much made for me as I wouldn't want to try a breech vaginal birth. What I'm trying to say is maybe not over think things now as I know from experience that you tie yourself in knots! If I was you, I would wait to see how the pregnancy progresses (whether you are having another big baby or if anything else arises during pregnancy) and make a decision with the consultant at around 36 weeks.

There's a recent thread on here about regretting vbac or another cs and the general consensus was most didn't regret cs but quite a few regretted vbac. I'll see if I can find it and link it.
Some posts talked about never giving birth vaginally and how they felt etc month be a useful read.
I'm 33 weeks with dc2. Dc1 was a cs due to induction not working - turned out he was breech and 11lb7oz so very glad that's the way it went!
This time I want a cs again. Tiny part of me is gutted I'll never have a vaginal birth but I much prefer the risks of a section, in a controlled environment vs the unknown of a vbac. You just don't know how it's all going to go. Like what on earth would have happened with dc1 if I actually laboured with him?! Would have been terrifying.
Anyway will stop rambling and find that thread..

Anyone regretted their VBAC/Elective C Section decision?

I thought you had to have a section 3rd time round if you've already had 2?? Or does it depend on the hospital? I've been told I'd have to have a section if ever I had a 3rd. One emergency c section and one planned in 2 weeks under my belt.......pardon the pun.Wink

Thank you all, i do think I will end up having an ELCS but I just want to consider my options, as I already have 2 children at home and my husband can only have 2 weeks off this time (he had 6 weeks the last 2 times) which is worrying me. I don't have anyone else to help me so I'll be doing school runs etc 2 weeks after a cs

Could you maybe hire a childminder to do the school run for a few weeks? My local ones have a school run rate which is quite reasonable and they're flexible too. Just worth a look maybe? If someone passes your house on the way it might work out...?

I can't use a child minder as my eldest is autistic, but her school is close by so maybe for the younger one that could work. Thanks
