Back & bum aches, unpainful contractions and leaking...

Hi Ladies,

I am not sure whether I should be mentally preparing myself or not but after reading quite a few bits and bobs on other threads, I've convinced myself that I might be going into a long slow labour...

I'm 35 + 1 weeks, have been having mild leaking (sorry) throughout the past 24 hours, intermittent lower back pain which seems to have spread to my bum, regular contractions that aren't very painful at all, constant feeling that I need to poop and evening nausea over the past week. I was also up until midnight last night washing all her clothes and bedding and sorting out her room Grin There is no real pattern but I have a gut feeling things are starting to happen...
I called my midwife team earlier and the midwife I spoke to was extremely rude and blunt and said its probably a UTI...no stinging, I'm frequently peeing because I'm so pregnant and drink about 4 litres of water a day. She said only go to hospital if the pain gets bad and hung up!!!!!!!!

I would just love some advice on whether I should get myself and fiance ready in case she decides to pop out early.

Thoughts? And thank you :)

When you say leaking, leaking what? If it’s your waters, you need to be seen. If not, then just sit tight. They won’t take you in until you’re in labour. You’ll know Shen it’s happening.

I'd go in, you're not full term so they should be seeing you no matter what

You not full term by two weeks. I would just go in and say you wish to be examined. If it is an infection you will need antibiotics as untreated can cause Labour. Also I would put in a complaint about the unprofessional behaviour of the midwife. Before you go in put a maternity pad so they can check it to see if it is waters or urine. Be firm. This is your unborn child’s health.
