How far along are you? The midwife should be able to tell. I can clearly feel my babies bum sticking out at the top of my bump a lot of the time.

I'm 34 weeks tomorrow. Nothing has been mentioned. I think I have a bum at the top right hand side of my bump.....

If baby is back to back there's usually a bit of a dip in your stomach when feeling your uterus. Midwives dont always mention it until later. I can definitely feel a bum it and his back on my stomach but the little pest has done a complete 360 and then some in the last week so even if they stay in one position for the whole of your pregnancy, it doesn't mean they'll stay like that right till the end.
I'm 40+5 btw and he's driving me crazy. But babies can spin even during Labour.

You can do the belly mapping exercises on spinning babies, which may help. Some times midwives can palpate and feel. If you had a late scan, which I did with my first, they might tell you there. Otherwise, it really doesn't matter too much. Back to back is a variation of normal anyway and it won't necessarily matter too much when you're in labour. My first was back to back (also breech until 34 weeks). I did have a slightly extended pushing stage where things died down a bit while she turned to get herself better positioned, but otherwise fine. I had no back labour. I had a generally straightforward comfortable labour. Didn't even need the gas and air. 11 hours from nothing until she was born and only about 8-9 hours of active labour.
