Well, just signed up and watched all of the vids to get my free box. Wound up paying for shipping as was a lot easier in my area that trekking over to Berkshire to collect and will keep people posted as to what arrives, but what a fantastic thing to offer!

It's very basic and a little bit patronising in places (my husband was laughing when I was just screaming 'Show me the science' at one of the videos) but I was really impressed that they're doing it at all frankly. We're going to use our box as our downstairs bed for the baby!

Anyone else done it and got the box? Worth it? Just thought i'd start the discussion as I couldn't find one on here!

I think it's a fab scheme and so what if you don't get loads of freebies-it's such a cute box to keep baby in for a bit :)

I watched all the videos etc and got the certificate I need to get it but I have to go to my hospital to pick it up. I won't go out of my way to get it (half hour drive plus parking etc) but will get it if I happen to go to the hospital before baby arrives.

Lid? Presumably you don't put the lid on when the baby is in! GrinWink

i don't think I cba to go through watching loads of vids for a cardboard box...though it does look very, very cute!

Thanks everyone for the updates.

Now I understand better the issue of different contents for various posters.

Waiting for ours here :). Downstairs nap area seems like a very good use indeed, thanks for the tip too.

It has very large instructions stating that I must not put the lid on with the baby inside! I'm not sure who would even think of doing that. If it never gets used by baby, the cats quite like it so somebody will use it.

Mine didn't have a lid, bit annoying as would have been better for storage!

I wasn't overly impressed to be honest, but it did only cost me postage so can't complain!

CrmbleBee · 30/12/2017 14:57

Did yours come with a lid? We wanted to use it for storage but as there's no lid it looks kinda rubbish. I think it should have had one and it was a mistake in shipping. Had a really thin matress in it, a matress cover and a bedsheet thing, but that was about it. Not worth the effort if you ask me.

I got mine last week.
Also in Berkshire so paid £6 for delivery.
I didn't watch the videos. Most of the questions can be answered with common sense and if you have done a nct type course already.
Box is very sturdy and pretty, mattress with sheets and muslin included. Then some leaflets and a free water wipe sample.
I think it is worth it as a second 'Moses basket' for downstairs. We have a Moses basket upstairs.
This is for my second baby.
