... anyone around to keep me company?

Currently 35wks and woke up this morning to lots of blood on the sheets.
Called triage who asked me to come in.
I’m currently being kept in for 24h monitoring, I have a cannula in one hand and a burst vain and swelling in the other where the trainee nurse tried to put the cannula in originally.

Worried but also a bit bored, I’ve got the room to myself and no ones around.

Today was supposed to be my last day at work....

That's good you're getting out. I've just arrived in resuscitation and have a cannula in each arm. I feel your pain.

hiddley , what’s up is this on the back of your post yesterday about your BP and pulse ?

sycamore54321 · 31/10/2017 18:09

Hope all will be well. But based on what a previous poster said, skipping night obs on a bleeding pregnant woman with unknown source of bleeding would be negligence to the point of malpractice. I know being woken is annoying but monitoring your BP is so important if there is blood loss. Please discuss everything with your doctors

Oh @hiddley hope you're ok! Flowers

Midwife/nurse came in a bit after DH and DS arrived to see me looked at me and said "you wanna go?" I said "err yes if everything's ok?" . That was that, she just updated my notes and said to call them if I get any more bleeding. I didn't even have to sign anything or anything idk if that's how it works.

I'm home now, currently in the bath. DS is asleep and DH has buggered off to his sports training.

I'm quite irritable for some reason.

Yes indeed floral. By the time I called an ambulance my bp was 75/55,
My pulse was 150 and sugar 2.6.
Paramedics were astounded I wasn't unconscious.
Can't get bp to rise enough.
I've been rude to everyone and am in a furious temper. I've had to explain to at least 10 medics today why I am refusing a catheter ie because I was raped. Horrible place to be.

Hope you feel better soon , low bp is shit , last time I called an ambulance it was 45/ by the time they arrived and they couldn’t cannulate me . I think she was surprised I was still moderately coherent , but my normal bp for the last 6/7 months has been 85/40 so I think I’m accustomed to it . Was scary though .
