My cervix is soft, is labour pending?

I’m getting waves of a ‘pushing down period feeling’ every 10 minutes. Feels really off.

My cervix is super soft too, does this mean anything?

I heard it goes soft so it’s easier to dilate Blush

I’m 37+3. Section booked for 13th. Would love to go naturally before then

In a similar boat @BlueButTrue ... waves of ‘uncomfortableness’ in my back and period type cramps in the front.

Not however expecting anything from it this time as I’ve been on an off all of the last 2 weeks, plus lost my plug / bloody show 2 weeks ago today, and it’s not amounted to anything!

Who knows though, I’m only 36+2 so he could do with cooking for a little longer if I’m honest!

Good luck!

Sounds like your body is getting ready for something!

Kattatty87 · 29/10/2017 17:14

Listen to your body and sleep!! I refused to sleep in early labour (didn't know i was) even thougg i was exhausted as I was worried about not sleeping that night and was due to be induced the next day. Instead laboured for 13 hours on no sleep.

Go and rest!! Xx

Not until the end of April, it's so far away! Haha congratulations, I was very lucky to get my BFP so soon Smile do you have a ball you can bounce on?

BlueButTrue · 29/10/2017 21:29

Hi all, still no baby Hmm and still no further advancements Hmm

This is getting annoying now as I’m quite uncomfortable!

Think I need a hot bath xx

Oh dear, sounds like a slow burner!
A bath is probably a good idea Smile
I've also heard that sex can speed things up, if you can manage it! It stimulates the same hormones that are needed in labour. If you can't manage full sex then an orgasm will do Wink

Sounds like it's just head engaging . Please try and relax and stop checking cervix as you could introduce infection . If and when it's true labour your contractions will strengthen and become closer together . Please just try and relax and get some sleep . If it's true labour you sure will know about it . Good luck with your section Flowers
