I'm having my 12 week scan on Thursday, then seeing the consultant straight after to discuss how I'll deliver.
I had a traumatic birth with my first baby 2 years ago and was adamant I couldn't have another child after that. Fast forward 2 years and I decided I do want another baby.
I'm very very anxious and starting to panic about the birth already.
So give me your planned section stories please - good and bad! I only know one person who had a planned section and she was up and about hoovering 2 weeks after! Although I'm not expecting that and fully aware it's a major operation!!

@emilyjayne1990 think we are currently in the same boat! DS1 is 2 and currently oh with ds2 27 weeks- got appointment beginning of December with consultant to co firm which way we are going with delivery. I’m very lucky in that the hospital I will deliver at is very relaxed and has already said they would offer ELCS - I just can’t risk what I went through with DS1 happening again! It’s not even the horrific tear, blood loss, recovery - I could do all that again! It’s the potential of double incontinence, further procedures to rectify any damage, and dealing with this and 2 small children! Not only that , the arrival of DS1 also very unfortunately was at the same time i lost my DGFather- between the trauma and bereavement we had a very difficult first few months. I don’t think ELCS will be easy by any stretch - I am terrified! But it’s got to be calmer and more positive an experience than arrival of DS1. Best of luck will be following this post with interest!

@PressPaws when I went into theatre after my first to be stitched up, they gave me a spinal and I was shaking all over! They told me it was just the adrenaline coming out of me from giving birth - was that a fib?! I never even thought it could’ve been the drugs!

Robots my anaesthetist said it was a side effect from the muscles being confused by the anaesthesia. So yes, definitely could've been the drugs in your situation!
