Possibly dehydrated

First pregnancy, and so far I seem to be a worrier. I've noticed over the past couple of weeks that I've been a little dehydrated but I'm drinking a lot and obviously peeing a lot but I suspected that was normal, was just curious as if this could be something worth worrying over?

Invest in some ketostixs as they'll help you keep an eye on the ketones in your urine. Have you had any other signs of dehydration? I tend to know I am when I start to get headaches that I can either sleep off or I can ease with paracetamol, my lips go dry, or I don't feel like drinking.
If you have headaches though always keep an eye on them as they're also a sign if preeclampsia is they'd not able to be shifted by paracetamol or just seem to be constant alongside some other symptoms.
If you have problems trying to drink enough, melon, grapes, cucumbers, watermelon, isotopic drinks frozen into ice cubes, icelollies etc will help keep you hydrated at least. My DH has to constantly remind me to drink so that's something that helps me.

Should also have asked how far along you are? And are you being sick as that can cause problems with dehydration...

Do you have any signs of dehydration?

I'm 25+3, I don't really get headaches at all
But when I was around 13 weeks I fainted at work but was fine after having something to drink.
I always make sure I have something to drink but it starts to become a pain when I wake up loads during the night either for a drink or for a wee

I'm always thirsty and even though I'm drinking a lot my pee seems to be really yellow too

I've not had a problem with my bladder which I'm grateful for, even at 33 weeks but I know a lot of women will just need to use the loo all the time so it could be just a pregnancy thing. Again, if you're worried about being dehydrated get the ketostixs as they'll give you an indication. Better to be drinking more than you think you should than not drinking enough. (Just don't overdo it and drink 3 litres in an hour etc)

Thank you, I'll give it a trySmile
