Consultant led care

This is my second pregnancy and I'm classed as high risk this time due to preeclampsia first time (and severe hyperemesis this time and last time but I don't know if that's taken into account).
I'm currently 19 weeks and have a meeting with a consultant at 22 weeks. Does anyone know what I should expect from this? Midwife and doctors have said I will be induced this time round so might it be to discuss that? Also been told il have extra scans, should I expect one on that appointment?
I know no one can 100% tell me and I should practice some patience but just curious

Hi, I thought it would be a meet and greet, but in fact she went thoroughly through my records and talked through the best options for me, with referrals, check on supporting tablets (extra folic acid/aspirin), and answered all our questions. Left feeling really supported and in good hands. No scan for people, I think it depends if tied in with the 12/20 wk scans. She did book me in for further scans down the line, but that's a win for me - reassurance, monitoring, and extra chance to see my little one. Very impressed. Oh, also the usual urine sample and blood pressure.

  • no scan for me, not 'people'

Similar here. Just went through history and set an action plan for the pregnancy, what scans and tests and when.

The consultant met me at 13 weeks to go through everything. If I remember correctly the aspirin was to reduce chances of pre-eclampsia. It was also the appointment where I told her I wanted an ELCS.

I was booked in again for 26 weeks but things got a bit tricky with the pregnancy at that point so my midwifery care was taken into the hospital for appointments at least once a week and I saw the consultant four more times prior to the CS. It was tough having all the appointments but worked out for the best
