Bleeding 13+4!

Been spotting for a week, convinced something was wrong with my cervix due to loop diathermy treatment in September 2016. Healthy baby on scan last Monday (12+5) but spotting didn't stop.
Last night went to the toilet and had a massive gush of blood. Went straight to a&e and was sent up to pregnancy assessment and saw a doctor. He examined me but couldn't get a good look at my cervix due to the amount of blood. Took some swabs and bloods and sent me home saying it's probably a miscarriage with instructions of what to look out for and when to come straight back.
Getting a scan this afternoon to check pregnancy viability. Had 3 tiny clots. 2 last night, one this morning. But now bleeding has completely stopped, barely even spotting!
WHAT IS GOING ON???

Desperately hoping for a positive outcome for you op Flowers

Thank you lampert.
So fed up. I just want answers.
Might have helped if the midwife listened Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday or even Friday last week when I rang instead of telling me it was probably ok!!

OP I had a gush of blood at 13+4 (after a normal 12 week scan), spotted brown for a week then another gush at 14+4. I was scanned both times and baby was fine. They couldn't tell me until the second scan (when I had a full bladder) that it was because of a subchorionic bleed. I spotted brown for 2 weeks after the second bleed and not had it since (fingers tightly crossed). I'm 21+4 now and only now the anxiety is very slightly waning after a private scan at 17 weeks and my 20 week anomaly scan...

Good luck, thinking of you this afternoon and hope all is well Flowers

Such good news maplebaby. I bet you were so relieved. I've heard lots of positive stories like this, including from a friend of a friend. I am trying my best to stay positive, but also preparing for the worst if that makes sense.
Good luck with the rest of your pregnancy x

Meant to say.... that bleed you had, was it something that is picked up on a scan? X

Fingers firmly crossed for you, OP.

Yes it was picked up at the second scan - the first scan I wasn't told to have a full bladder so they couldn't check the womb or cervix but the second I made sure I had a full bladder and they said they could see the bleed and that my cervix was long and closed.

Hoping for good news for you xx

They couldn't see anything on my scan last Monday, and I was already spotting then. But just brown blood/mucus. I will make sure my bladder is nice and full for today's scan.
Totally dreading going. I hope I am one of the lucky ones, I'm happy to bleed until I give birth as long as this little one is ok.
I will let you know how I get on xx

Just an update....
Baby is well, they think it's down to a low lying placenta, no concerns with baby.
Will be checked again at my 20 week scan.
And they've given me emergency phone numbers to ring incase the bleeding gets heavier again.
I am so relieved that the baby is ok Grin

Ah great news. Fingers crossed it’s one of those things and doesn’t happen again.
