Pregnancy or Ectopic?? So confused!!!

Hiya,

I’m so confused and need help.My periods are always regular and heavy however I have now missed two periods which has never happened.
I took a digital pregnancy test about three weeks ago that gave me a positive and I’ve recently took ten more which have now given me negatives. But something doesn’t feel right. I haven’t came on my period, eating has become problem where I constantly feel sick and I’ve put weight on which I’m not sure why, I’ve not been eating any differently and I am always tired.
I thought nothing of it however yesterday I had a horrible pain on the side of my stomach. Nothing excruciating but it hurt to stand up and even breathe sometimes. About a week ago, I had a spell that I have never experienced before, I went faint and nearly passed out. My boyfriend said my eyes went glazed and sweat was dripping off my face and I was boiling hot. I couldn’t even stand and had a moment where I forgot where I was. That whole day I didn’t feel great almost faint and dizzy. I’ve been feeling quite dizzy recently.
I again thought nothing of it until my mum today told me my relative had an Ectopic pregnancy and sounds similar.

However would the negative test show this?

Thanks everyone x

Really glad your being checked over . This is to a few of the other ladies..... NEVER say to someone that if it was ectopic it would of probably been picked up by now. It is rare but I nearly died because I didn't listen to my body and listened to medical professionals instead they thought I was 12 weeks happily pregnant when I fainted and had to have an emergency operation In which my heart nearly stopped!! I am lucky to be alive and didn't have to have a hysterectomy which is a miracle !

Hey everyone,

Quick update. I’ve been back and I have quite bad PCOS. They have advised I have a lot of cysts on my ovaries which is why I haven’t had a period and one cyst has ruptured and the fluid is all on my pelvis area which is why the pain is there and another cyst which is measuring at 2.1cm is about to rupture so they advised me I have a lot more pain yet to come. They have referred me to a gynaecologist, don’t think it’s sunken in just yet so I suppose tonight it’ll probably hit hard.

Thank you everyone for telling me to go to A&E as I thought I was being silly for going but I suppose I wasn’t. Thanks for everyone’s helpful advice and being so supportive it means a lot x

In some ways I am pleased for you as an ectopic is hell. Equally I remember when I had a first cyst burst it felt like my ectopic all over again.

Big hugs and invest in a hot water bottle x x x x

Oh Courtnie I’m so sorry but so glad you’ve been checked over. I have PCOS and have had a couple of ruptured cysts and a very large one that had to be removed surgically. In my experience it gets much easier to manage and control once you know what it is - losing weight / changing my diet got mine pretty well under control and any cysts I did have disappeared when I got pregnant, weirdly enough. Hope the pain isn’t too bad - they should be able to give you strong painkillers to help manage it.

Ouch indeed.

Very glad you went and got checked out. I hope the pain isn't as bad as you fear.

Lemondrop99 · 02/10/2017 23:22

You poor thing! Sounds very painful. I was going to say trust your instinct, so I'm really only glad you went and gave others seen. I really hope you're going to complain about your GP.....
