Hi.

Looking for some friendly advice.

Due my third baby any day now.

Previously I've tried unsuccessfully to breast feed due to complications from breast surgery - without going in to all the details I get blockages due to scaring and complications from surgeries where ducts were damaged. Ended up engorged. Infected and in so much pain.

After the issues first time around I said that hopefully it was simply bad luck this time and that next time would be different so second time around I tried again and again it didn't happen. Sadly I found trying to breast feed the most stressful part of the whole pregnancy/birth/new baby process and as a result said next time I'd not go down that route again as it was so stressful for me, My baby, My husband, And other child.
( I was really effected by the amount of emotional guilt and pressure I felt )

I'm not looking for pro breast feeding folks to preach at how good breast feeding is for baby ( this will not help me ! ).
I am aware.

What I'm hoping for is advise as to how I go about giving my baby the initial collostum with out confusing my body that milk should come in as this will lead to severe blockages again ?
Is this even possible ?
Any advise regarding this would be helpful

Obviously I'd love to give my baby the initial colostrum but not have all the issues after but I'm not entirely sure it's possible and also whether or not I'll even produce any due to the blockages.

Thanks.

Hey OP could you try antenatal expressing of Collostrum? So that you have a frozen store before baby arrives and you wouldn't have to do any actual breastfeeding (meaning your milk shouldn't in theory come in)
