I'm quite early on in my pregnancy however i am worrying about where I'm going to live. I currently privately rent a room in a house for working professionals however i know i can't have my baby here. I won't have the money to get somewhere private. I am also paying off rent arrears with the council from a previous property that is going to take years. What do you think my options would be?

It depends on your work / partner situation. We don't really have enough info

I work 30 hours a week and would be by myself

Sorry to hear that you have this worry ❤ Could you move in with family while you get settled with the baby? If not, are you sure you cab really not stay where you are? Or move to another house share? It sucks to have this sort of worry at this time xx

Check with council about arreas you may not qualify for social housing with council if in arrreas. Ditto housing association unless there is really good reason why you owe so much money. I know when I registered with Housing association hey wanted to know previous debts.

The council will have a duty to help house you if you are evicted because of child but this could mean helping you find a private tenancy who may accept housing benefit in part or full payment. It could mean Being put in hostel or B n B.

If you have a payment arrangement for the arrears and are sticking to it, you should be ok to register with the council

No family to move in with, just me

'No family to move in with, just me'

I'm really sorry to hear that. What about the father of the baby, and/or his family?
