Nursery Blinds

Hi All!
Just starting to get the nursery sorted (24 weeks) and wondered what the best option is to black out the room? Roman Blinds with Blackout Curtains? Or Shutters?
We just have curtains in our bedrooms at the moment that let some light in, doesn't bother me but have heard lots of advice about blacking out the rooms if you want some sleep!

Every baby is different. Personally I've had two who sleep anywhere and haven't needed blackouts. I think they can be more of a problem as baby then won't sleep unless it's pitch dark. However they've been a lifesaver for others.
Whatever you get make sure either it's cordless or the cords are safe to avoid strangulation later.

First baby was in with us until maybe 18m and we have no window coverings at all Blush

We didn't go for complete blackout because I think it would be a nightmare for naps out and about / nights away. It's been ok so far!

Thanks good advice! The curtains in the nursery will need changing anyway but maybe blackout curtains might be enough in that case?

If you're looking to replace anyway, worth looking into ones that are thicker so they also help keep the heat in. Often they are blackout and thermal at the same time, so that's an option. If you later find that baby won't sleep, while this is perfectly normal for babies, you can try fitting the blackout blinds later.
