Reduced movements

So I've been in four times over this pregnancy to be checked for reduced movements. Each time, thankfully, baby has been ok. I was given a growth scan at 30 weeks due to having been in twice. I was at the hospital again last week (37 weeks) and had another growth scan. Baby is growing well and ironically kicks up an utter storm when put on the monitor.

I haven't been entirely happy with his movements for the last week. He's moving, but not as frequently as he used too. However in this time, I've been monitored twice, had a growth scan and had his heartbeat checked by my GP at my 38 week appointment. No problems have been found.

I just don't know what to do. I just feel on edge the whole time. The midwives have been lovely and said to always go in and get checked if worries - but given the last week, you can see why I'm reluctant to go back in again. He's currently moving enough to not make me want to go in, but also not enough to make me fully relax.

I'm almost 39 weeks and I don't have another antenatal appointment until my 40 week due date. Thing is, a midwife friend said that after so many incidents of reduced movement, they should be thinking about inducing me (regardless of the fact no problems have been found). No one has mentioned possible induction to me. I just feel like I'm sitting here, not sure what to do. I wish my 38 week check had been with my midwife rather than my GP, then I could have asked about it.

I don't know if I'm being paranoid about movements or if I should push this further. It's hard to know what to do as he IS moving and I'm sure will suddenly kick up a storm if they monitor him and I'll look like an idiot.

Does anyone have any experience of this and know whether I should be asking about their thoughts on induction? Should I ask now or just wait it out until my due date? I don't want to be induced if possible, but I do wonder if I should be raising it with my midwife to at least know their position as it hasn't been mentioned Confused

Sorry for the ramble.

Glad he's moving more today. Always go in if you're concerned. I was in every other day and despite the monitoring looking ok and weekly growth scans nobody picked up on the fact that my dc had iugr until I changed consultants. I had an emergency c section as soon as they realised and dc was small but healthy. Could have been a very different story.

I'm not trying to scare you at all, I was exactly the same didn't know when to go in etc but so glad I did.

Hope the next 2 weeks are stress free for you Flowers

I went in 13 times for reduced movements for twin one.. there was no pattern in the last month so every day was different movement wise. They take it v seriously so always go. They induced me three days earlier than planned (36+3) and she had a massive placenta so could be that that was acting as a cushion. Luckily she is fine but alwaysgo.
One midwife commented they would rather see 1000 women where everything was fine than miss one x
