Did you have a clear out before labour?

Exactly that?

Did you find you had the shits before labour or did you have more frequent normal movements or none at all?

Chemist refused me lactulose, I've not been in ages and I can just picture birthing a 💩rather than a baby.

I read that the other week @fucksakefay, I nearly wet my pants at some of the comments!! I'm surprised I didn't wake everyone up in my house. I'll give it another read next week or so and hopefully laugh this baby out 😂

Both ends for 24 hours before dd arrived.
Went through the night whilst then dh was in bed, obviously too tired to see if I was ok Angry so alone in the bathroom making a right mess!
Saw the midwife the next day who just passed it off as a tummy bug, I had dd that evening!

I pooped all the way through labour. And vomited. Joyous.

asongforthelovers · 19/09/2017 23:22

Haha @minipie. My 2nd labour went pretty quick, I kept going back and forth to toilet as I had that feeling and last visit ended with me walking out ghost while, trousers at my ankles and a baby's head on it's way. Not 100% sure but I really do reckon I done the toilet while pushing.

This will be or last baby, my husbands desperate to watch. I can just picture what's going to happen 😳

Swapsicles - sounds similar to my husband, he's resorted to the couch as I keep him awake with my pain, daily visits to the toilet. I could go into labour and he would pretend he's sleeping.

@asongforthelovers my DH suggested I get some as I'm on 2 sets of tablets that cause constipation. Thankfully I've some lactulose though but i don't even know if it works for me as (tmi in 3 2 1) I'm not 'regular' anyway, never have been even as a baby and the times I've taken it I've not seen any difference. So if the bears work I can at least add to the reviews

disneydatknee · 20/09/2017 01:13

Yes. I went out for a meal the day before I was booked in for an induction (2 weeks late) and had the most horrendous pooh volcano at a pub restaurant after lunch. I didn't even know this was a thing. But I completely cleared my bowels and went into labour later that day with no medical help woohoo! But don't be fooled. That was not that last of it. Midwife fished a few poohs out of the birthing pool later that evening. Motherhood...so not dignified

Vomited for England during first labour.

I'm 38 weeks now and for the last few days have been very regular, even woke up during the night for the toilet which is unheard of for me as I'm usually more of a once every 4 days kind of gal. I keep hoping it's the start of stuff but more likely the curry, pineapple and grapefruit juice I'm consuming in vast quantities!

DeadDoorpost · 20/09/2017 09:41

10storey someone who's like me! I can finally tell my DH I'm not the only one (he finds it odd I don't go every day but I've not had any problems so why should I worry?)

confused123456 · 20/09/2017 09:46

None at all. I was completely fine

10storeylovesong · 20/09/2017 10:18

deaddoorpost I think it's genetic. My DS is the same

asongforthelovers · 20/09/2017 10:43

I could go days, over week without going before pregnant.

Think being pregnant is making feeling worse than it is.

The end is near, hallelujah!

I’m 37 weeks 3 days I’ve had really loose bowels for week and half it’s like 5 maybe more times a day last night I had sickness and I keep getting really faint like stretchy pains just above my vagina they aren’t uncomfy or anything just know it’s there has anyone else had anything like this before labour or is it nothing

seafoodeatit · 20/06/2018 14:20

I had it during labour with my last, almost a year ago and I'm still trying to erase the memory from my mind. I didn't have it with my other two though, so I think it can be hit and miss.

HelenSim33 · 20/06/2018 14:53

Yes I has looser and much more regular poos at the start of my labour! Definitely cleared me out!

ScarletLouise · 20/06/2018 14:56

Yes I had a good 'clear out' at the onset of labour

Didn't stop more coming out when I was pushing though 🙄

laylasmummy1 · 21/06/2018 17:55

you could try syrup of figs from the chemist. helped my little one no end with constipation...x x
