Changing hospital/midwife 25 week pregnant?

When I first found out I was pregnant, I did an immediate self referral to a hospital that is not really close, but been there for other stuff and quite liked it, plus it was relatively close to work, so my rationale was- good care, good hospital, good facilities. I did not think how inconvenient it would be to get from there home from appointments (work is in the middle between home and hospital, and that there is no parking. I have been seeing the community midwife since and had all the tests there.
Neither did I know that my more local hospital, where I could pretty much walk to if in labour as it is practically on my door step, recently had a refurbishment and is meant to have great facilities, and has great care too. Should have checked, but now I am having second thoughts and thinking of changing the hospital, which will of course mean changing midwife etc.

Anyone else done it- how easy is it to change hospitals at this stage? It will probably mean booking new tests and classes (which by now may be booked up), so some potential problems, but I kind of fancy going to the closer one if facilities and care or comparable.

I'm changing hospital and I understand it's relatively simple- there's a form to fill in to get your records transferred, but you have all the important stuff with you, I assume? I'd call the new hospital and speak with them, they should be able to guide you. :)

I changed hospitals around 22 weeks as I moved. My new GP facilitated the move for me. I would give your GP or the new hospital a ring and ask about how to make the transfer.
