Ive posted in due May 2018 as well but I would like opinions on this PT result.
After have shock of my life and doctor telling me I had a positive PT, I made him repeat it too. I picked up a first response test and did it at home. It was around 3pm and I know you should use morning sample but would like other people's thoughts.
I was sterilised after my youngest 13years ago! So to be told I'm pregnant seems unreal. Im only a day late and went to check if I was going to have early menopause as it runs in the family.
I think it's a dodgy batch of tests in our area. Ive had blood work done last week for a prior illness so I know it isn't from any illness causing a false positive.
But the test result was strange. It runs across the window, came up straight away, I watched it get darker, but is very faded at each end. It has a strange shape though so maybe it's another faulty test

I agree that the line on the FRER is strange but it seems unlikely that after 2 positives at the drs this would been negative. My FRER line was a bit patchy at the bottom but the positive was correct.

It must be such a shock for you Flowers

I would get another test and see what that one says as I've never seen one where it is missing the ends, so that makes me question its overall accuracy.

Biscuitmonster15 · 13/09/2017 19:30

Its very faint at the ends but I watched it changing. Im a bit of a science geek and was interested in the Processing especially as we had taught it last term. So watched it turn as it flowed over the strip!

Shock -I nearly fell of my chair! Made he get a different test from a different room.
I have had 5 c-sections and in pieces about what happens now.

If you are sterilised then you must see a doctor asap as there's a huge risk of ectopic.

PotteringAlong · 13/09/2017 19:34

If you were sterilised and you're pregnant then you need a scan asap to check for ectopic pregnancy Flowers

Bloody hell. What a shock. I had a funny positive like that on a FRER. Was a baby though- she's 3 now! Good luck OP.

Biscuitmonster15 · 13/09/2017 19:42

I was at the doctors earlier today to ask if I was going into early menopause. He was the one who gave me the news.
I just couldn't get my head around it or believe it so I said I would make an appointment for a week as you never know!

Omg so you think it's defo a positive result! I could talk myself into not agreeing with doctor's as tests could be faulty (wishful thinking maybe) but if a different type is then maybe I best try to accept it.

What are the risk factors of having a6th c-section?

The risk factor of pregnancy after sterilisation are far far greater. Have you made an appointment to get scanned yet?

Biscuitmonster15 · 14/09/2017 14:17

No not at the moment. Im still in shock and kind of burying my head. Ive had 5 c-sections already. I know I'm going to be advised against having it. With my last pregnancy it was touch and go hence sterilisation. So I don't want to go and make arrangements and scans and grow to want this child and see it and then have to terminate if the doctors don't think it's safe.

I think a trip to the doctor and sort out an emergency ante natal appointment to sort where the pregnancy is, ectopic is a big concern and then work out what you want to do from there.

Good luck what ever happens.
