Redundancy or Redeployment

I am very new to this, so please bear with me!
I am looking for advice or looking for someone with any experience in my situation!

I found out about 3 weeks ago I am facing redundancy, which is rubbish! To throw a spanner in the works, I found out about a week ago I am pregnant! Definitely not rubbish.... We have been trying for nearly 6 years!!
So, before I found out I was pregnant, I had been offered a redeployment option, which wasn't the best, and because of a few (in the grand scheme of things, insignificant) factors it wouldn't have been reasonable, so I was leaning towards redundancy... Now with the pregnancy though, I have no idea what to do.

What I now can't decide though, is whether I stick with the company, just to get my full maternity leave entitlement as I've been here so long but risk the stress and pressure it will put on me and my hudband, or whether I cut my losses and find a new job, but will then not be entitled to anything but a base maternity leave... Which, if im honest, I don't know much about in terms of what I am entitled to, what money I would get etc. I am not very far along in my pregnancy... I haven't even seen the midwife yet... And I'm just so terrified that I'm putting waaay too much stress on myself!

Any help, information or suggestions will be greatly appreciated!!

I would stick with it but if you're getting a huge redundancy payout then you might consider leaving as you'll have that instead of maternity. You have to work it out money wise from all options

Just FYI, if you are still employed by your employer by your 25th week of pregnancy (15 weeks before your due date) you will be entitled to SMP. Even if you've been made redundant, but are still say serving a notice period. It would be at the employers discretion whether to offer you any additional contractual pay to which you'd usually be entitled. So depending on how long the redundancy would take to process, if you can get past the 25 week time frame, you could get a redundancy payout and at least SMP if you want to leave.

The redundancy process is nearly over unfortunately.... I am the last one to make a decision.... I have a 3 month trial period if I take the redeployment, but that would only take me to around 18/19 weeks! Thank you though!! That's really useful information!!

If you leave and get another job, you would be entitled to Maternity Allowance pod directly from the government. This is around £150 a week, assuming you've been earning enough, for 39 weeks. If you stay where you are, and make it right through to when you leave for maternity leave, you'll get the same as MA, but for the first six weeks you'll get 90% of your current salary, so a bit more.

Does your company just offer statutory maternity pay (SMP), or is there any additional pay?

Thank you! They do offer a Company Maternity Pay as well which, from what I can tell is paid on top of SMP I think? But the information is a bit confusing, and when I approach my manager about Mat Leave, she says I shouldn't take the job for the wrong reasons and she thinks if that's the factor then it's the wrong reason.... It's all very confusing!! Thank you everyone for you advise though!
