Starting to freak out about childbirth pain

Last night I had an awful nightmare about childbirth pain. I'm really worried I won't be able to cope with it. Has anyone had an epidural and a vaginal birth? Would you recommend? I'm terrible at managing pain normally!

I've had 2 normal vaginal births with some pain relief for the first and G&A only for the second. I was terrified before labour both times - and I mean terrified. Strangely during both labours the fear just went. The adrenaline kicks in and you're in the zone.
