I'm 37 +3 and have been put on iron tablets-but they are making me feel really sick. Has anyone else had this ?
I'm constantly eating digestive biscuits as it eases it off slightly Confused

Spatone sachets are good if that could be an alternative?

Or Floridix! Nhs tablets aren't well absorbed by lots of people so it can upset your tummy.

You could try taking solgar iron tabs. They do a gentle iron one. I had to take iron after my ds born as haemorrhaged but the prescribed ones bound me up so switched over to those and much better.

also you can try taking iron with vitamin c (fruit juice), avoiding milk/tea/coffee within 30 mins and spreading the tabs out through the day.
If you are on 3 tabs then go down to 2 split am and pm,

Ferrous gluconate is slightly less sicky than fumarate for some people.

Thanks
I've felt quite sick today after taking them again but I do need an alternative as I had a big blood loss after my last baby and ended up having an iron drop aflyer the birth as was anemic than too so would like one avoid that this time.
I'll try all the suggestions thanks

Ferrous fumerate is a lot less sickness inducing than ferrous sulphate for some people. I've been on the first since Feb and had no issues.
