Nausea easing and replaced by almost constant back ache... normal?

Morning all,

Feeling a bit Blush at the moment, if I'm not on here complaining about throwing up I'm having a crisis over a salami sandwich.
My nausea is starting to ease.. rejoice! It comes and goes at odd times of day but is nothing like the horrors of weeks 6-8.

However now I'm experiencing a really sore lower back for hours at a time and actually yelped when I stood up yesterday. No other significant symptoms with it, but it seems determined to hang around. If I knew everything was okay I'd be happy to put up with it. So if anyone can tell me if I'm 'normal' I'd really appreciate it!

Currently coming up to 11 weeks, to be confirmed at scan next week.

No idea, but you're making me think maybe there's an end to the nausea of weeks 6-8, so thank you for that! Grin

Yep I'm 15 weeks pregnant I'm rather big busted so do struggle with back ache anyway but since I've been pregnant my lower back is so painful I have to sit down I couldn't stand up for too long .... howeverrrrrrr as strange as it sounds I went for a walk and it actually helped its nice to do it outside the fresh air will make you fell better but as strange as it sounds next time you feel your back acting up take a walk outside for 10 minutes at a slow pace and see if it makes a difference alternatively paracetamol is safe during pregnancy

Thank you for the reassurance. That's actually something I rather stupidly hadn't thought about, I was a fairly busty e cup before this palava and they seem to be growing under arms now! I will try the gentle walks, dh tries to encourage me every evening when all I want to do is throw things at him go to bed.

@Sundaylunchhappy it sounds weird dosent it when your super tired and achey the advice is to get up and walk but honestly it makes me feel so much better ! Sometimes when I lie down on the sofa I put a pillow under my knees to elevate my legs as well to relieve the strain on my lower back !

I've had a kidney infection that exhibited as lower back pain. It's worth getting checked for that.

Sundaylunchhappy · 01/09/2017 16:07

Will try the pillows for comfort but if the pain is still persisting next week I'll be sure to mention it when I see the consultant next week.

Pregnancy is one big contradiction isn't it louiserachael, eat healthily = stuff face with jam sandwiches (and in my case salami) rest when you can = go for a walk to try and deflate! No wonder I get grumpy!

@Sundaylunchhappy deffo get checked out if it persists we do get prone to water infections etc when we are pregnant - if I'm honest I think you do whatever you go to do to get through it pregnancy is hard for women at one point or another I try to eat fruit and veg everyday but if I need a day of eating chocolate and popcorn to make me feel better I will and will not feel guilty about it !
