Constantly hungry. 27 weeks

I'm 27 weeks today. (Hurray!)

The last week or so I've felt constantly hungry.

I record what I eat so I don't eat too much junk, I watch my calories but never ever limit them - for example if I'm hungry but have already used my calories for the day I'll be sure to have a healthier snack instead of reaching for the crisp cupboard. Basically doing this, even before pregnancy, has helped me stop reaching for chocolate and living off snacks. I've never dieted, or done detoxes etc just maintained my weight from 18/19 to now (closer to 30)

My problem just now is I'm always hungry, no matter what I eat, when I eat etc. I'm finding I'm averaging in at about 2000+ calories a day, pre pregnancy I was about 1500-1700. The peckish feeling just never goes away ... I'm happy to keep eating if that's what my body wants but I am wondering if there are any filling foods I could try so I'm not living in my kitchen? I'm quite picky so I'm a comfort food eater, things like chicken and rice, mince etc. Also looking to increase my fiber as my bowels have slowed again 😳

I take about 2-3 litres of water a day so I don't think it's dehydration hiding as hunger.

Any hungry mama meal recommendations?

I found eating nuts in pregnancy helped me feel full up.
Also added a glass of milk to my diet mid afternoon.
Also just remembered that after a few hungry weeks I started to not feel hungry again.... maybe it's a growth spurt? Xx

I'm 22 weeks and feeling the same. Always hungry! I find milk does fill me up x

There's a big growth spurt around this stage. Greek yogurt, walnuts and fruit are a nice filling snack. Lots of protein to keep you full and fibre to help the bowels.

I dislike nuts but I'll try the milk! Good idea
