Transverse baby – when to worry?

I'm 33 weeks, so I know baby has a bit of time and is still moving around in there but there are a couple of things troubling me now: the main issue is that I think he's never got his head down and is simply not inclined to do so. With DD I remember feeling kicks in the ribs/lungs much earlier than this and thus far I've felt nothing. Secondly, I'm petite and already look about 38 weeks so proportionately he has less room to manoeuvre. I've consulted Spinning Babies and I've been trying the exercises but to no avail. I have a scan at 36 weeks – is it likely they'll offer me an ECV if he still hasn't turned by then? Anyone tried any alternatives, acupuncture, etc? Really want to avoid a section if possible...

My ds was always head down then when I was induced he turned last minute and caused mayhem, there's still time!!

Oh no, that sounds like a nightmare! Thanks. It's so hard to know who and what to believe about this. The Spinning Babies site is brilliant but reading it just gets me more concerned – they say baby should be head down by 3rd trimester. Confused My next MW appt is at 34+2 and I'm pretty sure they won't be too bothered but that may be because they'll just think, oh well, she'll have to have a C-section if needs be. But I really, really want to avoid one.

With my first baby he was head down from 28/30 wks however with my 2nd he kept
Going from head down to breach at every scan. Eventually he turned at the 36 wks scan and I did get induced at 39 wks however he must have just wanted a section as I ended up with an ECS due to his hand sticking down first. They say 2nd baby can turn later than most. Wouldn't worry hopefully baby turns soon.

Both of mine were late to get into position.

The most recent baby was transverse/oblique at 37 weeks and there was a possibility of being admitted in case of cord prolapse if my waters went. I went in for a scan, and by time I'd got to hospital from the midwife app, he was head down. Definitely shifted about daily matter that, until he partially engaged at 38 and a half weeks.

I'm also quite small, and felt none of the rib kicking I'd had the first time. He ended up being born LOA (hurrah!), but had clearly been in some odd position inside.
