Boyfriend can't make 20 week scan

Scan is in a week. He's self employed and has picked up a few days of work. It's 2 hours away, and the work will bring in £600. I'm fairly reluctant to turn down the money. I'm going to see if there's a chance we could move appointment but not holding out much hope. Would you go alone? I think I feel fine about it, just thinking how I might be if there's something wrong. I'd prob need time to process anyway...

I can understand why you are upset, I'd of been upset if my husband couldn't make the scans. But as others have said, £600 is a lot of money, money that if I were you I wouldn't turn down.

Just an update - I wasn't upset by boyfriend not being there, totally supported his choice! I was feeling fine about going alone, just wondered if I was being sensible to do it.

My scan is tomorrow and today I found that the anxiety was sitting very close to the surface. It did creep up on me. So I checked with my mum if she was about and she's going to come with me. I've also booked myself a massage for tomorrow morning before the scan. have been working away for a week and promised myself one, it seemed like a good way to manage myself.

Thank you for checking! So I have had a bit of day off and that was nice.

Baby is wriggly but has bones heart brain and all. And is a boy. Having mum there meant I could chat through the waiting bits. It was a shame boyfriend missed out but he's happy with the pics.

Massage was a great idea. It meant I thought about that in the morning instead of fretting, and felt really chilled after. Downside, I now want it as a regular thing. Highly recommend a pre scan pregnancy massage to anyone getting twitchy about their anomaly scan!
