Pregnancy and clubbing

Hi,

I'd love to hear from others about how they have felt being pregnant and clubbing.

I'm not a big clubber but do love a dance. At 9 weeks I went to a pretty relaxed festival abroad and although I had to take it easy I still enjoyed dancing and being with my friends but it was a super friendly environment and it was really spacious.

In early October I'll be 5 months pregnant and at a hen do in Marbella!!! I've never been before but I'm not convinced it's going to be my cup of tea.
I'm up for doing all of the day time activities, beach clubs, dinners bars, boat trips but I feel like I'm really not going to want to be in a club at night.

I'll probably be pretty exhausted by the day time activities as I won't be boozing my way through them so have no worries about being by myself in our apartment I just feel like such a party pooper and don't know whether to buy club entry now so I can see how I feel when I'm there or go with my gut and not buy club entry and save my money.

This is my first pregnancy so it's all so new to me and I find it really hard to know how I'll be feeling. Maybe I'll have lots more energy when I'm out of this first trimester? Anyway, would love to hear others experiences.

Thanks x

I'm 27 weeks and have just been on a hen do round Liverpool. I managed to do everything but was only out until about 1am each morning because of tiredness. But I'm definitely having a sleepy pregnancy! Maybe figure out what time they'll be going to the clubs and go from there? I know when my dh went to Ibiza a few times they didn't actually leave for the club until 3/4am!

I went on a hen do to Marbella at 27 weeks, I found myself out til 2/3am, just took comfy shoes the only thing was the nightclubs were packed and I did feel anxious about getting pushed over or banged into. The day times were fine tho. In October it probably isn't going to be that busy either. I found I had loads of evergy when I was there and it wasn't until I got home it hit me for a day, so maybe take a day or two annual leave for when you get home to recharge x

Thanks for sharing your experiences. That actually makes it sound a lot less daunting.

I think I've also forgotten what it feels like to have energy! When people said you'd feel tired in the first trimester I had no idea just how tired I'd be.
I think I'll get my ticket and just go with the flow 😀

I found it hard to catch up with the seals past a few months....Grin

But seriously, it depends how you feel. Some people sail through pregnancy. Others (like me) vomit for nine months and get such bad spd they can't walk. Hopefully you will feel great. If you want to go then go, make sure you have an exit plan for when you feel tired (safe transport home etc.)

Oh and very very good travel insurance.

I had to go clubbing in London for a birthday at about 30w pregnant. It was fine actually, but I just made sure I knew exactly how to get back on my own if I was tired before everyone else wanted to leave.

I went on a hen do at about 27 weeks and I loved the daytime stuff but I didn't like being out at night...not because I didn't want to dance or was fed up because I wasn't drinking but because i kept getting knocked and bumped and was really anxious the whole evening because of that .
Xx
