No pregnancy symptoms for 2 weeks

Hello

I'm 8+2 with my first baby. For a couple of weeks after finding out (weeks 4-6) I was suffering from really tender breasts and the tiniest amount of nausea on a couple of occasions. For the past 2 weeks I haven't felt pregnant at all - the minor symptoms I experienced have just stopped.

Having read various forums it seems normal for symptoms to come and go but is it normal that they've been gone for 2 weeks now? Really worried that this might be a bad sign. I haven't had any bleeding but I've read it could be a missed miscarriage.

Is it worth me taking another pregnancy test or could this still show positive even if the pregnancy has ended? Not sure what to do :-(

Hi there, it's a worrying time the early stages.
I had symptoms up until 9 and a half weeks and they just stopped. Symptoms do fluctuate but to be sure, if you can afford it, i would have a private early scan. You would be able to see a heart beat at over 8 weeks.
It wouldn't be worth you taking a pregnancy test no, cos if you have had a missed miscarriage (where the foetus dies, your body doesn't recognise this, no bleeding) then you'll still test positive.
Hopefully it's a whole load of worrying for nothing Smile

I would recommend an early scan. You may get referred by your GP if you explain about the symptoms stopping.

Agree with Cherry that another test is pointless as your hormones will show a positive regardless if anything has happened with the pregnancy.

I hope that it is nothing and all is fine xx

Thank you. I've just booked an early scan but the first appointment they had was next Sunday so bit of an anxious wait til then. I really hope everything's ok but at least I'll know one war or another by this time next week...

Hi. First time posting! Opinions and story's needed please. I stop my pill cycle 2 weeks ago and still no period. I have suffered nausea throughout the day and dizziness but I am also on a new cycle of citalopram which can cause these symptoms. Feel slightly tender/twingy in the tummy area but that's about it! Negative test last week. (Didn't have a positive test till 6 weeks with my last)
Anyone experienced the same? Either negative when positive, or symptoms whilst on citalopram xx

Sorry, posted on wrong thread and can't delete!

Just thought I'd post a follow up in case anyone stumbles across this thread who needs reassurance- I went for my early scan on Monday and all absolutely fine Smile

I guess some people just have stronger symptoms than others and probably nothing to worry about.

Such a relief!

That's great news. Congratulations!

Fantastic!!! I had a scan yesterday, so scared as symptoms had completely dropped away. Scan came on and baby was waving and moving around. 10 weeks. Came home and symptoms came back a bit 🙄😂 Massive relief.
