Hi all

I'm 18 + 5 weeks and have been getting round ligament pain since about 12 weeks. Does it ever stop or does it continue until baby arrives? This is my first pregnancy.

Hi, I'm 26 weeks with my first baby too.
I really struggled with these pains from about 12 weeks on and off til about 19 weeks. Went back and forth to the GP like 2-3 times because it hurt so much I was convinced something was wrong!!
I'm pleased to say though it's definitely eased now. Still getting back pain but had that since the beginning anyway lol.
Hope you're feeling better soon SmileFlowers

Thanks. That's good to know. I was pretty certain all was fine but it just seems never ending.

Get a bump support belt, they help.

I'm currently tryingto delay/avoid pgp/spd.

  • You need to use of pillow between your knees when in bed or lying on sofa.
-Stairs one step at the time.
  • support your back with a cushion and sit on hard chairs/surfaces rather than soft.
-use a heat pack for your aches/backache. -when standing, keep legs apart and sway your hips to keep weight evenly distributed.

gamerchick I don't really have a bump yet. Would it still help?

Heartburncentral are those going to help the pain around my tummy? Ive not been having any back pain.

I forgot to mention I got a 'Serola' belt to support my hips/pelvis when standing/walking which helped stabilise my pelvis and spine when walking. You might need a bump support instead -Mothercare sold them when I was pregnant so you might pick one up second hand on fb. Your GP may be able to refer you to an antenatal physiotherapist. They recommended stretching over a birthing ball while rolling it back and forth but I found that very uncomfortable. You MW may be able to offer more advice. I didn't have pain around my tummy-it was at the bottom of my bump/hips/bum and some siatica from hip to knee at times. Luckily I never needed crutches but it was very painful.
