Just started leaking, what do you do at night?!

Hi all,

39 weeks and I think my milk has just came in as I've started to leak; apologies if the following questions seem daft or obvious but this is my first pregnancy so this is new territory for me Confused

Although I've stocked up on nursing bras and pads (planning to breastfeed) I haven't actually given it any thought as to what you do at night; do you wear a bra and pads at night? Do you always leak at night or does it stop once you start feeding? Or should you wear them anyway as a precaution? Any advice is most welcome!

Thanks xx

Just wear one of those bed bras / Lycra fabric bras and pop in a breast pad . Job done

You'll need s to wear a bra - they leek when the baby cries -

(Recommend large cabbage leaves from the fridge to cool them down)

Doesnt get better than that!

Yeah wear bra and pads at night, or just put a towel under you if you don't want to wear a bra. I never leaked before birth but leaked often at night for weeks afterwards.

LOL leak!! Although Leeks might work as well

Ok thank you for all your responses, that's really helpful! I think I'll go down the towel route and see how that goes as I can't bear to wear a bra at the moment.

This has caught me off guard slightly as I assumed that if my milk was going to come in before baby is born it would have done so before now! Still, good to know it's there and ready to be used! Smile

Xx
