Nervous of labour

Exactly that, baby no.3 and I keep getting scared about labour.

10 weeks to go and I'm panicking 😰😰. Don't know why as I had fairly quick, drug free labours.

Anyone else felt or feeling like this, is it the fear of knowing what pains coming 😩

I think it's the fear of you know what's coming and them awful contractions! Good luck though Grin x

Yes I had this with my second recently. I was terrified. Like you say, it's worse because you know what's coming.

Just try and surround yourself with supportive people, keep healthy and active and remember you're in the right place if things don't go to plan. Trust the professionals and your own body to get the job done. Women have been giving birth for thousands of years. You are not the first and won't be the last. Good luck! Flowers

I have just given birth to my second after a horrendous birth with first DC. I mentally prepared for the same unimaginable pain and concentrated on breathing through the contractions. I know it sounds crazy but I really enjoyed the birth second time round. As soon as it seemed things were kicking off I relaxed as much as possible. Even made sure I had my pizza before heading to the hospital. Got there and was 8cm. DC2 arrived an hour later. I had 'the fear' for weeks before every time I thought about labour but it just sort of disappeared when the contractions started. Good luck, you and your body know what you got to do Flowers

I thought it was just me, horrendous labour with 1st, now booked in for Thursday to be induced yet again as baby no2 doesn't want to make an appearance and I'm keeking myself lol Confused

I get scared and nervous every single time. Every birth is different and you can't really plan for it and for me, that produces anxiety. My only advice really is don't feel bad if you need pain relief and stay as active as you can for as long as possible into your labour. Good luck!

Definitely will take what is going but the thought of an epidural terrifies me too, midwife mentioned about c-section but so does that 🤣

Think once it actually happens I'll just go with the flow (hopefully). Get shivers the thought of the pushing stage 😰

Ahhhhhhh 🙈🙈
