I will admit i am 31 weeks and i am not doing much at all. And i mean barely any other than walking to and from wherever i need to go.....i know it's bad but by the time i am home from work and eaten i am knackered. Just wondered what others are managing Blush

Oh and still feeling massively flabby and my DM tells my I am fat all over. I can't imagine what shape I'd be if I'd done nothing but also coming to the conclusion that you can't help what shape you become when you become pregnant and grow!!!

Angel re spinning, I kept it up till last week (I'm 40 weeks today yay) it's a great excercise to do!!
However I'd advise ditching the heart rate monitor now whilst pregnant! Your heart rate is no longer a good guide for your workload (you will be working harder to maintain the bpm you were at before) so you could be working harder than you think!! Use perceived exertion now instead. It's hard to turn off the screens and trackers (I know) but you will get a good workout none the less :)

Look up The Borg Rating of Perceived Exertion (RPE)

@fezzik1 i don't really understand what you mean sorry? It seems to take relatively little effort for me to get to say 140BPM, I assume due to lessening fitness and lung capacity. If I based it on perceived effort I would work harder and BPM would be much higher, therefore I'm using BPM to stop me over doing it. Is that not right?

I'm nearly 26 wks by the way

Nearly sweet fuck all!! I've been pretty fragile/ill with my pregnancy , so now 36/37 and i try my best to go for walks.... thats it at the mo! Your body is working extra hard now so dont be hard on yourself :D x

I'm 32 weeks and I do two hours dog walking a day minimum, I find it hard but I know it will make labour quicker and easier as it did in my last pregnancy.

Ah, sorry angel, ahead of myself so.. The recommended 140 bpm wouldn't break a sweat on me either, not even at 40w :) it was encase you were working to your own personal heart rate zones before hand.

Advised HR zones are just to vague if you are wanting to work a bit harder. I have a very low resting HR, so say at 150BPM I would be working harder than my neighbor with a higher resting HR! The 140BPM is just an arbitrary number, this is why it's recommended to use RPE... and yes to start with, perhaps you will work harder than sticking to 140BPM!! It all depends on your workout goals..

My workout goal right now is enjoying a lie in with a cup of tea :)

Thanks @fezzik1 I think that makes sense now! I don't want to go crazy but I do want to feel like going to a class was worth my time so will read up properly on your recommended method :) enjoy your lie ins I can't wait for that bit! 9.5 wks of work to go for me!!
