hey everyone! I was wondering if anyone had advice or experience with this! I'm about 36 weeks now and i just lie there at night not being able to sleep for hours!!
Im not crazy uncomfortable, or sick or anything during the nights, im havent been having loads of naps etc. I'm wondering if its just worry or thinking too much etc! Any tips to fall alseep would be very helpful! xxxx

I'm the same at 38+2, have been like this since about 35 weeks. I've always been a good sleeper but I find I lay there for hours just trying to fall asleep, then even when I do I wake up constantly. It's rubbish!

I was like this from around 35 weeks onwards. I was never a great sleeper anyway but it just got silly. I would fall asleep easy but then would lay there for hours not being able to sleep. I thought it was my body preparing me for having sleepless nights with a baby! I ended up having a big neck pillow round my bump and at my back aswell, didn't help massively but ever so slightly.

I fall asleep really quickly & easily but then end up waking up an hour later at a really annoying time 12.40am. I just find myself in a weird half awake half asleep state for hours and have loads of thoughts going round in my head. I'm 34wks and finish in 3 so I won't care when I'm on mat leave cos il just take myself downstairs and watch tv but now I try and force myself to sleep cos I have work the next day

I was the same in the last few weeks of my pregnancy. Trouble drifting off and then waking up several times a night either just randomly or because I needed to pee.

My mum joked that it was my body preparing myself for having a newborn who'd be up at all hours. Not sure if that's true or has any biological fact though!

DS is 13 weeks now and I can honestly say I'm sleeping better (and more!) now than when I was pregnant.

Not sure if herbal sleep remedies are okay in pregnancy as I never bothered to check or take anything but they might be worth a shot?
