Yup, especially around my belly button. I just plucked em. lol.

MaeWest · 25/03/2007 14:36

Yep, mine got a bit hairy too (I had a boy, is this one of the 'old wives tales'?). It's not hairy anymore, DS is 8 months old.

Me too. Got it when og with dd, faded away to normal and now back again, pg with twins.

macneil · 25/03/2007 14:46

I also had it with a girl. It does go.

Daisypops · 25/03/2007 19:36

I had a very hairy belly and I had a girl too. Am now hair free!

kellogs · 25/03/2007 19:54

Yes I am somewhat more hirsute than normal. Having a girl though. It's keeping your little baby warm!

Thank GOD I'm not the only one. I keep having a shave or epilate dilemma!! Problem is you need to let it grow before you epilate... urrgh

murcimari · 25/03/2007 22:09

Don't shave it!! It will definitely go soon after you give birth, or at least will thin out. You'll only make the problem permanent if you start shaving it.

Banoffee · 25/03/2007 22:49

I waxed my tummy with first pregnancy (girl) and with this one nothing. Even less hairs than normal. Maybe a boy. Should find out in a few days!

Hopeitwontbebig · 25/03/2007 22:53

murcimari, oops, too late! Will try and epilate instead

macneil · 26/03/2007 03:55

Eek, the thought of epilating (you mean the pully thing?) my sensitive bump skin (or my sensitive leg skin - I was very sensitive when pregnant) makes me wince! You don't need to (and I use this ironically) let yourself go because you're pregnant, but you can let your tummy get furry, I think. It's all part of the lovely, mysterious, weird bodysnatch of pregnancy, and I think it's a time to go easy on yourself, and let go of the social balding rituals.

Hi all
I thought it was rather sweet at first but every time look there seems to be more. I usually epilate my legs & underarms but since getting pregnant i've found it really flipping hurts

I also gaily epilated pre-pregnancy, and underarms is surprisingly less painful than everyone imagines, plus it gives you an infinitely better look. But not during pregnancy.

Hopeitwontbebig · 27/03/2007 10:05

ok, I've taken to using tweezers and grabbing a few every day. It seems to be working. Definitely a work in progress though!!
