Currently 33+6. Have oedema in my legs, ankles, face and hands. Started on BP meds yesterday as it's high and all over the place. Breathless, exhausted, dull headache and only feel well ish if laying in bed 24/7. Saw my consultant yesterday and he said it's only a matter of time before I'm full blown PE. Only thing I'm missing is protein in my urine. Really feel like i just can't go on. Feel absolutely shocking. Being seen again tomorrow. Did anyone feel like this and go on to get PE full blown? Said won't deliver baby before 35 weeks if not full blown!x

The good thing is you're pretty far along. It would be so much worse if you weren't as far along. Also good that you're getting professional medical advice. Sorry you're feeling so bad, don't have anything else to add but wanted to say good luck x

My situation is different from yours as in I had protein in my urine and no other symptoms, not even high blood pressure. It was only discovered after a blood test due to the protein so I can't help with the feeling rubbish part. However I just wanted to say in my experience you will be looked after and closely monitored brilliantly. The fact they are already keeping an eye on you is a good thing if you do go onto to develop PE. By the time anyone noticed I had it it had got quite severe and I developed HELLP Syndrome so the sooner it's picked up the better. I was totally blown away with the care I received during labour the midwives and doctors were fantastic. I had protein at my 34/35 week check so suspect that it started sometime around then as I didn't know I had it til 37 weeks. If and when you do go onto develop it be reassured you are in the right hands. You're at a good gestation now, a relative of mine had her baby at 28 weeks due to PE a few months before me and he has come on amazingly. Sorry you're feeling so rubbish but stay positive and good luck Flowersxx

I got diagnosed with PE yesterday following referral to the hospital after my community midwife appointment due to sky high BP and 3+ protein.

Hospital did further tests including bloods and confirmed PE yesterday morning. Currently being induced but I'm over 38 weeks so a lot further along than you.

I've had BP issues, some protein in my urine and severe edema since around 35 weeks and generally feeling a bit crap and run down - this was my third referral to hospital because of it. I've had some form of edema since around 24 weeks.

I can't say it's really got any worse while it's developed into PE - not sure if this is typical or just my experience so don't worry too much about what might be. The only thing that I have found to get worse is the edema - I now have it in my bump too and this developed about a week and a half ago (and is really rather painful). Generally though I don't feel any worse and was quite surprised to get admitted to hospital!!

Best of luck with it - fingers crossed you sail through the next few weeks of your pregnancy without it causing further issues.

Thank you for sharing your experience Cantthink, that sounds scary! 'Waves' at CatRash! You posted on one of other threads about oedema. Sorry to hear you've been admitted but at least your being induced and it will soon be over.
I think the oedema and feeling shocking is the worst! I hate being unwell and just want it all over!x
