Hi Guys i've already called my midwife and shes asked me to callback in an hour but i just wanted to know what other people think. Im a FTM with a complicated high risk pregnancy - so you could say im a bit if a worrier/paranoid manic. Ive had really bad lower back pain for over 4 hours now, i managed to sleep through the first hour and half but woke up as it was worse. I've had a lot of dishchare that seems wateryer than usual and i feel like im having a bad period. I have had tighenting but not to the point i cant talk through it and it comes and goes. The back pain is whats giving me most trouble. Im 31 weeks exactly today and on a lot of medication for my complications so i do worry this affects baby. Have movement very low down and she sticks her bum out alot which is also quite uncomfortable! 30 minutes before i have to call midwife again, paracetomal not yet worked

Any news op?

jessicajaine01 · 16/07/2017 23:24

Thank you all for your kind words this is really nice to read. They tried stopping labour but shes definitly coming. Had a bit of a bad reaction to a pain relief yesterday and my heartrate shot up but by the looks of things baby is happy in there just taking her time! Contractions a lot stronger now just not close enough together to be in established labour yet. Midwives are great just wish my OH could be here, been sent on the ward till things progress and he had to leave at 9 :(

I guess it's a good thing that they are keeping you in and keeping an eye on things. Hopefully she'll sit tight a bit longer and you can get some rest.

Yes only problem is its now been 24 hours since i had the steroid injections for her lungs so think theyll induce me in the morning if nothing changes over night x

I had ds at 32 weeks, he's now a 6ft2 16 year old and there were never any complications from being premature. Just wanted to reassure you x

I had the steroid injections at 24 weeks and then there wasn't time again as my labour was too quick so it had been 3 weeks. They told me that they try and keep baby in as long as possible as long as they aren't in distress. They can give more steroids if required.
