I am around 4 weeks pregnant with my second child and have woke up this morning with quite painful period like cramps. It's been going on for around 4 hours now and I am just wondering if this is normal or something to be concerned about? Any advice/info would be great Smile

It was normal for me. I was sure my period was coming around the corner even though I had strong pregnancy tests.

I had that from 4 weeks until 6 weeks. I still get them occasionally now. My GP said as long as they aren't extremely painful then it's probably normal.

I had period cramps from 4 weeks til nearly 8 weeks. As long as there's no bleeding accompanying these cramps, then its fine Grin

Normal for me too. In fact I had to keep checking I hadn't come on they were so strong at times x

Those sorts of pains were normal for me to. I felt really crampy on and off through my whole last pregnancy

Normal for me, I get them every month around when I would be due on and everything has been fine throughout my pregnancy x

With my first pregnancyI had bad 'period pains' from when my period was due for 2 weeks (4-6 weeks). I had a positive pregnancy test but I was worried by the pain and thought I would miscarry. The 'baby' is now 3 years old. Smile I now think it was implantation pain.
